If you haven't already heard, this fresh-faced bakery in TTDI is super popular for their Chipotle Sourdough Grilled Cheese With Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup (RM22). The crusty and housemade sourdough works as the building block for this sando that's then loaded with ooey, gooey cheese. This also comes with a small serving of well-seasoned roasted pepper and tomato for dunking. Not overly tangy, it cuts through the richness of the cheese, allowing you to dive in for more. Ps. The sandwich is only available after 11.30am and tends to sell out quickly, so plan accordingly!

Tucked away in Desa Pandan is this homey cafe serving unpretentious nosh. The addictive Camoranesi (RM23) features a combo of cheddar and mozzarella with the addition of an aioli spread and caramelised onions. This is then served on a savoury tomato sauce base that’s perfect for mopping up with your sandwich. Pro tip: Get more bang for your buck on weekdays by opting for their set lunch!

We already know this spot grills delicious burgers, but the newly added Grilled Cheese (RM13.90) is just as good. Think crispy and fluffy sourdough bread paired with gooey (cheese strings included!) mozzarella and cheddar, served with a side of pickled onions and tomato salad to cut through the cheesiness. Finish off the meal with their sinfully delicious Peanut Butter Shake (RM12).

Swing by for a quick coffee and sando break at this pop-up coffee bar by the team behind One Half and Artisan Roast. There are a few standout sandwiches on the menu, but we’re here for the Three Cheese Sandwich (RM16). Think excellent sourdough bread, stuffed generously with cheddar, parmesan, and mozzarella, before being toasted – gooey, savoury and tasty! Burppler Serena Ho warns that it's a large portion, so come with an appetite! Wash that down with a cup of their stellar Filter Brews (from RM15).

Grilled cheese sandos need not be sinful with this spot in Sri Hartamas! The Grilled Cheese Bacon (RM22) sees melted cheddar on toasted bread accompanied by salty bacon and a heaping amount of fresh rocket – the perfectly balance between healthy and indulgent. Wash that down with one of their fresh fruit juices like the orangey Rise ‘N’ Shine (RM11).

This cafe in Damansara serves an impressive open-faced Grilled Cheese (RM11). Choose between sourdough or brioche as your base, before parmesan, mozzerella and cheddar gets loaded and toasted onto your thick, fluffy bread. As if it couldn't get any better, it gets blow-torched to smoky perfection – way to end things on a right note!
