Price states is ala carte. Made it a set for $3.50, + $3 for loaded fries.

I don’t know if I’m being fair if I say the portion of this fries were too damn small. Because I just wanted more. Crispy fries that were slathered in cheese sauce, Wolf sauce, turkey bacon bits, and furikake. Other than the cheese sauce and turkey bacon bits, everything else was just a gimmick. The cheese sauce overpowered the flavour of the Wolf sauce and furikake, and the turkey bacon bits just helped to give that added saltiness and crunch to the fries. And I’m not complaining, because it was a damn good bunch of cheese fries with bacon bits. But I did hope it could’ve been more affordable for what was a seemingly small plate of cheese fries I was having.

The sight of the thick cut fries already made me disappointed😣 I love fries but am always particular about the size, and yes I know — fries come in different sizes and I should’ve known before ordering but I would still never pass on whatever kind of fries it may be🤣 Pretty decent still, but truffle flavour wasn’t apparent. Granted the thick cut did not manage to encapsulate much of the flavour, the overall flavour and parmesan cheese atop were lacking.

Kueh Pie Tee shells with a slice of smoked duck and salsa inside, and then topped with mozzarella cheese. Interesting appetiser for sharing and it is worth a try if you like smoked duck and want to try something fusion.

Pork skin cracklings that we actually got for free from signing up as a brotzeit member by downloading the app. $6 is the ala carte price!
The pork skin cracklings came still crackling, emitting a sound that excited me. The thin crisps felt sooo unhealthy as you know, they’re literally just a pig’s skin, sliced thinly and deep fried. Every bite gave a good crunch, and it was well seasoned with what I think was salt, pepper, and paprika. A good starter to share with friends to quell the hunger because depending on what you order, food might take a while!

Charcoal grilled flying squid with teriyaki sauce. Chewy squid that was well marinated and grilled with a good sear. Actually very tantalising on my tastebuds and surprised at how delicious this was on its own!

Was scrolling through pictures and saw Braseiro's Garlic Cheese bread and knew that I had to try it. While braseiro's normal garlic bread markets at $8.90, one would have to top up $2 to have it slathered with melted cheese. Although I was pretty excited for it, I personally thought this was just decent. I expected the bread to be more on the toasty side but it was slightly softer than expected. With the melted cheese, it unfortunately overwhelmed the garlic flavour which I was hoping would still be the main flavour of the bread. Cheese and garlic would always still be a welcome combination for me, but I would think the cheese to be more melty and milder on the surface. Braisero's melted cheese bread however, had cheese that was more stringy and chewy that masked the whole surface of the bread. I do think that this is a matter of personal preference and that I do have a certain idea about what my garlic cheese bread to be — melty, flowy cheese with a huge oomph of garlic flavour, but what Braseiro delivered was not what I was looking for. Then again, as I have mentioned, it was still a decent basket of Garlic cheese bread, and it really depends on how you'd like them.

Freshly shucked Fine de Claire Oysters during Happy Hour (Mon-Thurs, 5pm-7pm) at L'entrecote at $2.75/pc with a minimum order of 6 pieces. Beautifully presented and served with mignonette sauce, lemon slices, and tabasco on the side. Slurpy goodness and a great appetiser!

The very famous cream puff that never disappoints. While yes, $6 is indeed pricey for a cream puff but for the quality, size, and experience, I do think that it is pretty worth it. However, the experience at Sentosa does ruin it a bit. Compared to sitting down in an air-conditioned cafe with a plate and proper knife, his was in a takeaway box and recyclable fork and knife which was quite difficult to cut the puff. Nonetheless, the cold cream puff was crispy, fluffy, and very very creamy. The quality of the cream was also top notch — thick and milky, yet not too overwhelming. Although yes, the cream was a lot, but I don't think anybody is going to mind a bursting cream puff.

Similar experience with the box of classic takoyaki, the octopus balls here were on the dry side especially because there was a lack of sauce. While the mentaiko was creamy and nice, there was really not much sauce lathered on each octopus ball that would have been enough for a more enjoyable experience. Nonetheless, it does make for a good afternoon snack though.

The takoyaki here was soft and a tad mushy but nothing too bad. My only concern was that they were a bit stingy with the toppings and sauces, which really made the octopus balls very dry. Not the best experience to have while eating takoyaki. Nonetheless, still a good afternoon snack to have.

My first reaction to the price was like huh? $4? But the portion and quality did it justice. On top of being worth its price for the portion, the chee cheong fun itself was smooth, allowing you to slurp up every bite. The char siew made the chee cheong fun on the slightly sweeter side, but the savoury light sauce did help to kick in a bit of saltiness.

Sweet braided bread with chocolate filling. Instead of streusel, this babka was topped with a generous amount of salted dark chocolate crumbs which was my favorite part of this whole piece of bread. Together with a creamy custard layer, the babka was an amazing balance of sweet and savoury, soft and crunchy. As someone who is not the biggest fan of bread, I could indulge in this any time.
