Coffee Hazelnut Yule Log, Light Butter Cream, Caramelized Hazelnut, Citrus Ice Cream
Had a little bite of this too. Would be glad to have this as a log cake on a separate day (not after the steak).
Side note: the candle provides some of the best lighting for photography as the restaurant is dimly lit (hence the cave reference).
Warm Butterscotch Apple Crumble, Oats, Almonds, “Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream”
I was excited to try this as it was highly recommended. The fruity taste provided a great contrast to the savoury steak. Sadly, the sweetness got me in a food coma when I was halfway through this dessert.
New York Sirloin (U.S.D.A. PRIME, Illinois Corn Fed, Aged 21 days) (medium rare, house amde steal sauce)
I decided to get the New York Sirloin without incurring additional charges. While steak typically saturates my taste buds, the hardwood scent and occasional dip in the house made steak sauce meant that I finished the steak without getting a food coma. I have now developed a weakness for steal grilled over hardwood and charcoal.
The sides such as Wild Field Mushrooms with Shishito Peppers, Creamed Spinach with Fried Organic Egg and Peewee Potatoes, “Patatas Bravas” Garlic Aioli were great too. But honestly, I would recommend saving your stomachs for the steak.
Maryland Blue Crab Cake, Heirloom Tomato Relish, Basil Aioli
Had my company's Christmas Dinner here yesterday night and was recommended the crab cake by one of my bosses. It was arranged artistically and has a diversity of flavours. Personally, I'm not a fan of crabs but still enjoyed this dish.
