A modern twist on a local classic, the dry laksa series from WOK HEY is back with a more flavourful and satisfying recipe 🥳
Celebrate Singapore’s 58th National Day with these popular Dry Laksa and Laksa Fried Rice dishes 🇸🇬
🌟 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗔𝗫
Topped with a generous amount of blue swimmer crabmeat, we tried the laksa fried rice that comes with luscious ramen egg 🍳
🌟 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗔𝗫
For those who prefer noodles, try the dry laksa variation complete with taupok (beancurd puff). Don’t forget to include the sambal for a more flavourful rendition 🔥
The laksa series starts from $7.50. Apart from the usual chicken/beef/prawn toppings, you can also choose to upgrade with seasonal add-ons like succulent wild-caught crab meat and ramen egg.

Handmade upon order, the chewy flat noodles comes with a good amount of shallots, ikan bilis and pork lard. The uncle was very nice and gave us an additional egg because he “messed up” one of the eggs 💎 The runny eggs made this so creamy and delicious! One of the best MHK I’ve had to date 🫶

Situated at the heart of Boat Quay, Quay House pays homage to the rich heritage of its location - a historical epicentre for regional spice trading back in the 1920s. Serving fusion dishes that brings traditional regional flavours and spices to life over an open fire, experience a familiar and comforting yet altogether unique rendition at this restaurant 🔥
One of their signature items is the 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝟮 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀 ($𝟱𝟴). Taking inspiration from French and Asian culinary methods, this signature duck dish features applewood chimney-smoked duck breast and leg confit in Nyonya curry 🦆 The former is slow cooked over open fire, while the latter is prepared in traditional French method. The rich but mildly-spicy curry is fragrant with coconut flavour and taste 🥥

The wagyu beef is cooked in traditional Vietnamese stew, reduced to a sweet braised finish (reminiscent of char siew sauce). Together with the juicy smoked pineapple chunks, the beef cheeks is decorated with shallots, chives and shrimp floss 🐄🍍 Found this a little too fatty
Probably the longest satay I’ve had to date 💀 This jumbo satay-style pork jowl skewers comes with peanut sauce, that has a unique Indonesian twist to it. Meat is tender 🍖 and best enjoyed with the accompanying pickled onions 🧅
Served with house butter, we started off our meal with this fluffy naan-like flatbread. The homemade butter comes with a tinge of sweetness that whetted our appetite for the other dishes 🧈
Have you tried the new items? We gave it a try and here’s our honest thought 💭
🌟 Sweet Paprika Chicken McCrispy (2pc meal for $9.05)
Made with a flavourful blend of spices, this new rendition of McCrispy is actually not bad!✨ With a tinge of sweetness, we found this crispier and slightly spicier than the regular McCrispy. Kinda reminds us of Pizza Hut’s sweet and spicy drumlets 🍗
I actually prefer this over the normal McCrispy. Hope they keep this on the regular menu! 🫶
🌟 Calamansi McFizz (+$0.70)
Unfortunately, this fell below our expectations. Despite some differences in colour, we could hardly tell this apart from the regular Sprite 🤔 Not saying that Sprite is bad, just that we expected something citrusy and refreshing 🍋 You can purchase this ala carte for $3.85
From what we noticed of past seasonal specials, there could be slight inconsistencies across different outlets. If it matters, we visited the Vivocity branch.
For spice lovers, get the 6pc bucket for the Sweet Paprika Chicken McCrispy because it is actually quite addictive 🤌

A colourful Indian-inspired dish, the skewer and wadeh (sometimes also known as vadai) is accompanied by 2017 Chardonnay Santa Barbara Country that has a slightly stronger taste than the 2020 version

We started with this beautifully-plated top shell salad. This is part of the limited time specially curated menu for New Ubin’s wine pairing 🥂
Started our meal with this refreshing mango and top shell salad with crispy fish skin 🥭🐟 This dish pairs with the 2020 Chardonnay Santa Barbara Country that is limited in production (with only 6000 bottles produced) 🥂
If you’re still feeling peckish, fill your tummy with this braised duck (though I wouldn’t mind if it was more tender) 🦆 We ended the wine menu with one of our favourite of the meal which is the 2016 Red Blend
Also limited in production, the 2017 Syrah Santa Ynez Valley is smooth and aromatic🍷We had this with fried chicken and spinach
