One of their interesting pizza selection - Truffle Shabu Beef pizza with Matcha Crust. Although the truffle wasn't evident, the Angus beef was properly seasoned. You won't be able to taste any matcha from the crust, but their pizzas were generally still lightly crisp at the edges!

Wasabi was evident, but it was not "qiang", meaning you wouldn't get much nose burning sensation from this 🤭.

Mentaiko wasn't strong here, but I liked the good amount of mushroom within. There's fish within that's soft too!

This turned out to be one of my favourites! This pie contained shiitake mushrooms, and you could get some veg flavour from the broccoli, and sweetness from caramelised onions

Stated in 2017 by L. Junji, the founder of Oishi Japanese Pizza (previously open in Sg), KobePi offers gourmet-inspired Japanese Pies and Pizzas, which are halal-certified and created with quality ingredients!

Japanese Curry Chicken Pie
If you're a fan of Japanese curry, you could try their Jap Curry pies, which they have in both Chicken/ Beef ones!

Fried Chicken Burger ($26)
- Upgrade to house fries ($4) - the fries basically came with more seasoning compared to the default fries - the default ones were alr good enough tho. This burger came with kicap glazed chicken thigh, which wasn't as crispy as expected.

Overall quite an average fair, but thought the dinner menu might be better (?) since it's more focused on the peranakan flavours/ dishes.

Pulled beef rendang, fried shallots, pickled cucumbers, brioche bun, sour cream. The beef rendang was really tender and slightly fatty, but I personally would prefer to pair the meat with rice, rather than with other sauces in a burger, as I don't get to savour the meat's flavours fully. The fries were really crispy and well-seasoned tho!

For those who are interested in peranakan food, @babba.sg serves up such dishes, and have brunch, pre-dinner, and dinner menus for different times of the day.

We on a weekend afternoon and tried their brunch menu, with each of us picking one main each.

Dry Laksa Pasta ($26)
Hokkaido scallops, tiger prawns, fried beancurd puffs, Spaghetti, curry leaves. I actually quite liked their fried beancurd puffs, which had a good dry laksa flavour! If you're a fan of dry laksa pasta in general, you'll probably enjoy this.

Interesting one for us - it's like Icecream but with a milkier flavour, and it's slightly airier and lighter in texture compared to icecream!

Quite strong in the cocoa flavour because of the cocoa powder topping. Overall a decent tiramisu, except that all the rum flavour was only evident in the raisins, instead of in the cake itself.

DESSERTS
🌟 Dark Chocolate Lava Cake ($14)
Ooh this wasn't super molten, but I liked the slightly bittersweet chocolate! Might be a little sweet for some, but I would defo finish one myself if I weren't feeling so full alr.

This was less gamey than the Lamb short ribs light plate, and the mustard at the side helped cover some of its gaminess.
