It's finally the weekend! Lazy morning breakfast with mum, with @essensosg MicroGround coffee and @crystaljadesg cookies. By the way, my Essenso #qiuuinggiveaway has ended and I will be contacting the winners via pm! Thank you for participating :) Have a good weekend everyone!

😫 After my cousin @mrs_rhino18 treated me to lunch at De Poco Poco Bake Shoppe, we went to check out their yummy looking bakes 🍞. My cousin made her selection really quickly so she reached the counter just before me.
She insisted on paying for me and I declined. Then the staff told her there was a Buy 3️⃣ Get 1️⃣ Free promotion and she was short of a bread. As she left the counter for her bread, I told the guy to total up mine and hers 💰 so I could pay for her share too.
The staff did as I asked and packed everything, waiting for her to come back. Little did I know, he was such a brilliant actor! 🎭 He had already accepted my cousin's money without my knowledge and was in on the prank!

Job well done I must say! 👍🏼

The cookies are made with roasted peas and while I don't like peas, I find this strangely addictive. A bit sweet and mostly salty, green pea cookies are naturally vegan, soy free and made with no preservatives!

My favourites are definitely the Croissant, Pear Danish and Satay Swirl. By the way, the Satay Swirl was specially created for Sofitel So Singapore because of its proximity to Satay Street at Lau Pa Sat next door.

Made with colouring from beetroot and topped with fresh 🍓 strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. A good blend of sour and sweet. More details on cakes by on my blog 📝

Don't forget to check out the SG50 Jubilee buns 🍞 from BreadTalk! They have introduced 15 buns, comprising of local favourites like Satay Chicken, Mt. Kaya Swirl, Chilli Crab King and Orh-Nee. Also, from now till 24 August 2015, enjoy 50 cents off your bill when you spend a minimum of $5! Off to catch late founding father LKY's Proclamation of Independence on TV 😊

Both brands have produced a limited edition Singapore Roti Collection for BreadTalk's 15th anniversary, featuring 15 different buns by BreadTalk. They are available for sale from 3 July only at Uniqlo Bugis+ outlet. •

The bag ($5) as featured here is available at all BreadTalk outlets islandwide. $0.50 will be donated to Community Chest with every tote bag sold.

Eating the apple pasty ($4) from Paris Baguette that I had no space for yesterday. Loving it!! Still tastes awesome today and they are so generous with the apple chunks that you don't have to worry about the pastry to apple ratio.

They gave us two boxes filled with egg tarts, blueberry cheese tarts and chocolate cheese tarts. So glad to have such great neighbours! 👫👬👭 Who says kampung spirit can only be found in HDB? It is alive and well in condos too! My father will sometimes go over to my other neighbour's house to watch soccer with them (because we don't have cable TV) and they will always welcome him even if it passes midnight. 😊

Here is Crostata di Frutta ($6.50), a strawberry and berry tart, topped with homemade custard. The tart for me was a bit hard and burnt as seen from the dark brown coloration. Hopefully the rectify that soon since it's the main part of the whole dessert.

However, that was not what I took home with me.
It was a cylindrical container holding 13 salted egg cookies. The cookies cost $15 which in my opinion is quite pricey, but I just cannot resist anything salted egg. This is pretty yummy but probably the first and last bottle I would buy.
