More Reviews of good food at Max's Restaurant of the Philippines

One time i was eating Arroz Caldo (rice porridge) and I was transported back to my youth! This time, with Max's legendary Golden Brown Fried Chicken, the taste is unmistakeable! This is the fried chicken of my early days.
I had this chicken for the first time when i was a youngster at the original Max's restaurant that was built in the 1940's back in Quezon City, Philippines. The crispy juicy thin chicken skin is perfectly fried golden brown. The meat is tender, never dry and always moist. I feel like a kid again when i bite into their fried chicken! Actually, all their Filipino dishes are top-notch and very authentically prepared: you'd feel like you were back in the Philippines!
This combo meal comes with rice and their signature chopsuey on a bed of crispy wrapper. The veggies are fresh and crunchy, not over cooked!
I highly would recommend eating at any Max's restaurant, most especially if your other than a Filipino because this is an experience you definitely need to immerse in! Filipino food at its core! Plus, chicken galore! (With some banana ketchup, SARAP!) Tag #foodforfoodies 🍧

Max's: Spring Fried Chicken & Chopsuey
A long tiring day deserves a nice hot dinner. And where else to get one of the best Filipino food that feels like home? Max's.

Max's restaurant is pre-WW2 Filipino restaurant in the Philippines that started with just one restaurant dedicated to that crispy tender chicken and other Filipino favorites. They have grown internationally and the one I went to is at South San Francisco by El Camino Real.
I ordered some soup and some chopsuey (at the background) which is a delicious sautè of mixed vegetables with shrimp and meat tidbits, making it a perfect well balanced dish.
Then the star of this restaurant of course is the perfectly fried chicken that just falls off the bone.. Juicy, hardly marinated, just that delicious chicken flavor! Dip it on some ketchup.. And u need nothing else but this!

All those who have NOT tried to eat at Max's.. PLEASE DO! You owe it to yourself! 😉😉😉 Tag #foodforfoodies 🍧

❦* 🔱Longsilog🔱 🍴one of the best tasting as well as THE most well presented Longsilog and i have ever seen came from Max's restaurant at South San Francisco, California. If you're not familiar with this Filipino breakfast favorite, let me break it down for you! 😁 Longsilog is a combination of the words Longganisa which is a type of Filipino sausage, Sinangag which is Filipino garlic fried rice and Itlog which is a sunny side up fried egg! 😍 -silogs comes in a variety of combinations like Tapsilog (Tapa which is marinated beef), Tosilog (Tocino which is marinated sweet pork) and a multitude of other breakfast choices! This one that i ordered at Max's restaurant is realy delicious, well cooked, and well presented! The presentation alone sold me! It looks really high end, and appetizes anyone just by the way it was plated for the customer! Longganisa was meaty and juicy, not too oily, sinangag was hot, fluffy and aromatically garlic-y, and the eggs were cooked over medium! Im not used to having tomato slices with my Silog breakfasts but it adds a nice touch of a well balanced diet because you're adding veggies to your meal! I would recommend this to anyone, not just to Filipinos but to anyone who wants to enjoy real authentic Filipino breakfast! ❤ ❦* Foodforfoodies Kain tayo!  Let's Eat!  #foodforfoodies #igersmanila #igerssf #igaddictus #foodporn #photooftheday #iphonesia #iphoneography #foodies #foodphotography #foodstagram #foodspotting #instagood #all_shots #igerspinoy #instafood #igdaily #gang_family #fotografiaunited #happyspamily #instagramhub
