Reviews

From the Burpple community

On the 2nd of September, my partner and I decided to visit this cafe after stumbling upon it on Burpple. Excited about the potential 1-for-1 deal mentioned on Burpple, we inquired with the staff, only to be disappointed when they informed us that the deal was no longer available. This was a letdown as it was the primary reason for our visit.

Anticipating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for enjoying our coffee, we entered the cafe with high hopes. Regrettably, our experience proved to be anything but pleasant. During our visit, the staff started vacuuming, which not only created a noisy and disruptive environment but also left us feeling unwelcome. Their conversations carried across the cafe, resembling a casual gathering in their own home rather than a professional establishment. These disruptions only exacerbated our discomfort, making us feel like outsiders rather than valued customers.

While it is important to maintain cleanliness, it should not compromise the overall customer experience. We hope that the cafe can strike a better balance in the future.

Coffee was good. But the staff mentioned they aren’t having 1-4-1 anymore:/

A quaint coffee place in the heart of Chinatown, Plus Coffee Joint offers coffee with multiple coffee bean options.

The 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond offer is available for their Brazilian bean, and I got their Latte ($5.50). Not too milky, it was a strong brew and you can taste some chocolate and hazelnut notes. Not bad of a coffee! However, I do wish that there were less ice in the cup as it watered down the coffee quite quickly 😂

Will be back to try their Dirty, which is quite rare to find in Singapore!

A clean minimalist cafe along temple street. We had the Brazil latte, $5.5 & Columbia oat latte, $6.5 (+$1). Brazil had a stronger flavour while Columbia was lighter & fruity. Personally preferred Brazil, the oat milk & the nutty taste would’ve matched seamlessly.

We initially came mentally prepared after reading the reviews. But contrary to it, the boss was pretty friendly 😅 He also recommended us accordingly since we were contemplating our choices for quite awhile lol. Hope this review could better put your mind at ease hahah iykyk
