Looked on w great interest as someone finished up an ang ku kueh 😂 ⁣
In photos:⁣
1️⃣ Cream Cheese Hae Bi Hiam + Sourdough ($8): Intrigued by this strange sounding combi but it works! The hae bi was actually on the sweeter side. Wished it was spicier 😛⁣
2️⃣ Coffee Infused Gula Melaka Ondeh Ondeh ($1.50): The coffee gula melaka filling was rich and buttery. Not bad at all! It would have been nice if it were bigger at $1.50 a pop.⁣
3️⃣ Latte ($6.50)

A must to visit @ppp.coffee (formerly known as Papa Palheta) when spending a day at the newly revamped @funansg if you ask me ☕️ #mustdrinkcoffee⁣⁣
In photo: Papa’s Iced Coffee ($8.80). Very satisfying iced white latte that comes with light homemade coffee jelly to sweeten up the whole deal. ⁣⁣
Prices here are a little steeper compared to CSHH but I am just glad I can get great coffee in a commercial mall 😍😍⁣⁣⁣

Flat White - $6
A cup of staple flat white, nothing too fancy but smooth to every sip. We all need that wake up call
PPP Coffee

Good coffee must usually be paired with food, and I would say that my Haru Suke (Ethiopia) went well with their Orange Pound Cake (S$7.00). Kept dense and coated with orange glaze, I could even catch hints of the bitterness from the orange zest. For that, I pretty much enjoyed the combination of flavours coming from both.

One thing that I was not very pleased though, was that I found a couple of fruit flies inside the food display. I highlighted my concern to the staff on the spot, but all he did was to open the display door a little, limply hoping that the fruit flies will escape from the food. Well, I could only hope that those who had a more sensitive stomach would not be affected by the presence of fruit flies.

We had all of this for ~$37, which is pretty reasonable. The cakes (sea salt gula melaka caramel and matcha lemon pound cakes, $7-$7.50 I think) were decent and paired well with the coffees (2 flat whites - reg 1 shot for $6 and large 2 shots for $7, white cold brew $8). Will be back!
