The taste of my childhood is in these prawn noodles! I even clearly remember the face of the uncle cooking these noodles in the coffee shop under our HDB block decades ago, because I had it so often. So i was really surprised and thrilled to find the same taste when I moved into toa payoh years back. It’s something about the dark briny soup ( not the east coast sweet prawn soup kind) , something about the fried shallots. Try it & let me know if you had this in your youth too!
This lovely family run stall has moved around toa payoh a bit over the years but has been at blk 66 toa payoh lor 4 ( opposite tpy central) these few years.
