We love the way they do it here. The challenge is always to scoop the noodles into your bowls without cutting them. I like mine best with pickled green chilli.
So when I asked both tables, small portion for kids only or large, I got an unequivocal large.
Had to order some kiddy friendly dishes and this is a sure win amongst them.
Our usual order would be the roast chicken with prawn crackers but since we love glutinous rice, this would be a good bet. It was absolutely delicious. I didn't expect the skin to be deep fried. So that was the first surprise. It was good and not oily. The glutinous rice inside was the star of the show. Steamed and full of flavour and we enjoyed the salted egg yolks that was mixed into the rice. It was a hit with everyone.
You eat them all wrapped up in lettuce so they become little parcels of delight! Add a splash of their house made chilli sauce if you'd like to spice things up a little.
