Coyo cultured drink After paying, you are entitled to a tiny bottle of Coyo cultured drink.

Banchan Seven free-flow banchan were provided, and our favourite was the seaweed salad, which looked and tasted like coleslaw. It was sweet and crunchy.

Ji Pyeong Original ($24++) A sweet rice wine to accompany the meal. It’s poured into a kettle and then served in small metal bowls for sipping.

Very nice lighting, cozy but feels spacious at the same time. Good ambience for a nice date. Staff: 5/5 The staff there were very attentive and helpful in the selection of our food. They were quite knowledgeable about the ingredients used as well, so it was a rather pleasant experience while having our meal. Food: 4/5 Ordered the balsamic roasted mushroom, they added shredded kombu in the mushroom which their umami and earthiness balance out the sweetness of the sautéed onions and the sourness from the balsamic vinegar. It was quite fun to eat as every bite tasted different, the almost cheese like feel and taste of the kombu really stood out in this dish. Yellowtail king fish crudo was fun to eat as well, the pink guava sauce is very balanced and doesn’t cover up the taste of the fresh sashimi. They topped it off with small umami spheres which really stood out in the fragrant and sweet pink guava sauce. Chincharon was quite fun to eat as well, not jelak at all. Especially with the salsa and pickled green chilli on the side, it was really fun and appetising to eat. The waiter also recommended us the wagyu lstriploin steak and mac and cheese which was apparently their signature dishes. The meat was tender and well seasoned, chef cooked it perfectly at medium rare. The 4 cheeses in the Mac and cheese added quite a lot of depth and flavour to the dish along with the robust taste of truffles. Had tiramisu for dessert, its was quite a big serving and tasted the coffee alcohol is quite well balanced in my opinion. But if u really like alcohol, you might prefer it to be more potent. Overall its a good place for a nice date, as the food is tasty and the ambience is both chill and intimate.

Satisfying dinner, delicious steak Had dinner at Meadesmoore with my fiancé and had a really enjoyable evening. The place was warm and inviting, with dim lighting and polished interiors, making it great for date nights. We started with the Yellowtail Kingfish Crudo, which was fresh and well-balanced. The flavors were subtle but well thought out, making it a nice way to begin the meal. The combination of the pink guava together with the fish gave the dish a few subtle layers of flavor that made it interesting without being overcomplicated. The 400g Wagyu striploin was cooked well — tender and flavorful. It was served with two different sauces that complemented the beef without overpowering it, adding a nice touch of variety to the dish. Overall, the food was satisfying and the setting added a lot to the experience.

Steakhouse that won’t disappoint !! Not really a steak person but the steak here is seriously good! Perfectly medium. The roasted bone marrow toast takes the cake,very indulgent!

Imma Chase Some Tail (PARTIALLY SPONSORED) Guess what goes well with that fabulous fried rice? That’s right, @yupavilionsg Fish Tail Curry! To be more precise, it’s their Fish Tail ($28.80++) cooked in curry, which is one of four ways to enjoy the fish tail. The other flavour options for the fish tail are Sour & Spicy Sauce, Deep Fried with Diced Chili & Garlic, and steamed Hong Kong Style. Personally I’d say that the curry is the one you go for when maximising your money, because look at the size of it!⠀ ⠀ The curry itself is quite decent, with a subtle but unmistakable spiciness, a weighty creaminess from the coconut milk used and salted sufficiently. I haven’t got a clue what kind of fish is used, but it’s pretty meaty with a firm flaky flesh. It’s flawlessly fresh as well, which is essential for making sure that the fish flesh can withstand being immersed in the tasty curry. Besides the fish, the curry conceals a bounty of assorted vegetables like eggplant, ladyfingers, and tomatoes, along with fruit (pineapple chunks to be precise) and beancurd skin. What’s An Asparagus’ Favourite Workout? Stalking. (PARTIALLY SPONSORED) With carbs & protein aplenty, we had to get some fibre for a balanced meal. Yu Pavilion’s Prawns & Asparagus with XO Sauce ($24.80++ small) fit the bill perfectly, with the asparagus being unexpectedly fresh. No offensively inedible fibrous bits here, not at all! The asparagus was fresh & easy to chew with just a little snap for a satisfying texture, and it was a fantastic fit for the subtly spicy & supremely savoury XO sauce. Truffle Ain’t No Trifling Thing (PARTIALLY SPONSORED) @yupavilionsg meats were mouthwatering, but I got that carb craving. Enter the Fragrant Egg Fried Rice with Crab Meat & Black Truffle ($17.80++ for the small), which is quite the mouthful to say. The fluffy grains of rice fit right in with the fluffy bits of egg, and the delicate bits of crabmeat. Great fusion food and friendly staff Went to One Prawn & Co for dinner and tried a range of dishes. The ones that I thoroughly enjoyed were the Prawn Toast and Aioli, Jumbo Tiger Prawns, and Wild-caught Black Cod with Seaweed Porridge. The Prawn Toast was crispy but not too hard while the Tiger Prawns were paired nicely with the Sakura Vermouth. The Black Cod and Seaweed Porridge was a hearty dish and a great way to end off the meal - I liked how the fish had a good char and red dates were added in the porridge to balance out the strong flavours within the dish. The service staff were friendly and the chef made time to introduce some of the dishes while we were dining. Would definitely recommend!

Good vibes, bold flavours Was greeted by an open kitchen and great atmosphere. Every dish here is a surprise, innovative techniques and fearless flavour combos. If you love seafood and enjoy trying something new, it is definitely worth a visit. The chefs and team were warm and welcome, which made the dining experience even more memorable. Simplicity at Sushi Muni Dining at Sushi Muni was an intimate and masterful omakase experience. Each dish showcased precision, seasonality, and a deep respect for Japanese tradition. Highlights included the silky chawanmushi, refreshing tomato somen, and an array of expertly crafted nigiri. The maguro was tender and pristine, while the saba delivered a bold, briny punch. Uni, served gunkan-style, was rich and indulgent—truly a standout. The negitoro maki provided a comforting finish to the savory courses, followed by delicate warabi mochi with kuromitsu, a sweet and elegant close to the meal. From the serene setting to the attentive service, Sushi Muni delivers thoughtful craftsmanship and understated excellence.

Pad Mama Tobiko Lava I once hailed Folks Collective as one of the best Thai food in Singapore. They still are! Although this dish wasn't as good as imagined and kinda gimmicky, it's still refined. The prawns tasted assam.

Better yet, when you head down to Folks Collective for lunch on Tuesdays to Fridays from 11.30am to 3pm, you can crack an ice cold pint of @changbeersg new Cold Brew Lager for just five bucks with an order of a Weekday Lunch Set. Now that’s what I call a cracking deal!⠀ ⠀ My dad & I unanimously agreed that the Moo Ping Set was the undoubted winner here. The grilled pork had the meaty, satisfying chew of a pork steak but the tenderness & moisture of a particularly remarkable meatball. The moo ping was tremendously tender, juicy, smoky & sufficiently seasoned, and dipping it into the sweet chili sauce made this an all star all rounder. Great Mother's Day Meal! Came by on Mother's Day and they were so kind to offer a complimentary stalk of flower and beancurd desserts to our table in celebration. To our surprise, they were also running a promotion of 20% off the menu, even for the set lunch menu! Really so generous! Their set menus start from $29.90++, which comes with broth and meat of your choice, a more-than-decent vegetable platter, choice of noodles or rice, a drink, and access to their "market table", which has appetisers, sauces and condiments, fruits, and a dessert bar where you can make your own jelly dessert concoction! There're also premium meat options to top up $10 for which includes seafood, premium beef, etc as your choice of meat. Overall, the meat and veges were fresh and high quality, broths were delicious and refillable (we loved the tomato and golden chicken broths), and we had such a blast eating! Ambience was cosy, the interior was aesthetic, and service was prompt and friendly. If we had to give a complaint, it was that our table for 4 was slightly too cramped, such that we frequently had to 'tetris' the golden cages that the meat and vege platters came in for them to fit on the table top.

Yunnan Style Hotpot with DIY Bingfen & Tanghulu Had the Yunnan-style single hotpot lunch set and was pleasantly surprised! For $29.90, you get your own pot, a main, veggies, carbs and a drink. For an extra $10, you can upgrade to a premium meat or seafood option. The free-flow Market Table was a highlight which includes DIY bingfen, tanghulu, dipping sauces and various side dishes. I picked the black truffle mushroom broth, super fragrant and full of flavour. You can also choose a yuan yang pot if you prefer the best of both worlds. The Signature Jasmine Flower Shrimp Paste is a must-try ! Bouncy texture with a lovely floral note. Ended the meal with soft serve and a refreshing DIY bingfen. Bonus: they also sell Yunnan flowers, which make a sweet takeaway gift!

Amazing Thai food! Lebua Thai at CHIJMES offers a vibrant dining experience with authentic Thai cuisine, featuring signature dishes like Pineapple Fried Rice, Curry Seafood in Young Coconut, and Deep Fried Seabass with Fish Sauce, all served in a charming, pet-friendly setting enhanced by live traditional Thai dance performances every Friday night.

Affordable and delicious Thai Upscale and comfortable ambience, this new Thai establishment at Chijmes has a wide range of affordable Thai dishes to suit every tastebuds. We tried the Tom Yum Mama Hotpot ($25) and the Grilled Pork ($15). Even though we ordered the tomyum hotpot in small, the portion is actually very substantial, chock full of sotong, fish, prawns, clams, mussels, prawns, and even squid balls! The mama noodles included was also sufficient to feed the two of us. Pretty damn worth it! As we had a free dish from Burpple, we went with the grilled pork which was pretty good Overall, highly recommend this restaurant if you need a value-for-money Thai fix in the middle of town. Even better if you have Burpple as our total only came up to about $30!

Goyohan Soul Goyohan Soul offers a refined take on Korean cuisine, balancing bold flavors with elegance. The Mini Kimchi Pancake was crisp outside, soft inside, and packed with tangy, umami-rich kimchi. The Silky Plump Oyster lived up to its name, fresh and briny with a delicate sweetness. The Kimchi Fried Rice with Chicken had a satisfying wok hei, with well-seasoned grains absorbing the deep, spicy notes of aged kimchi. The tender chicken made it even heartier. The L.A. Galbi was a standout—juicy, Korean-style BBQ short ribs marinated in a sweet-savory sauce, perfectly caramelized yet tender. The Grilled Half-Shell Scallop was cooked to perfection, its natural sweetness enhanced by a buttery glaze. The Army Stew was warm and comforting, loaded with Korean sausages, luncheon meat, tofu, rice cakes, kimchi ramyeon, and fish cake, all swimming in a rich, tangy broth. Overall, Goyohan Soul elevates familiar Korean flavors with quality ingredients and thoughtful execution, making it a spot worth revisiting.

Surprisingly affordable Korean at Marina Bay They were having a promo where the egg fried rice is $5.90 if you buy another item that is at least $8. We got the soondubu jigae ($16 for no meat option). Soondubu was slightly watery and pretty bland overall. Decent amount of tofu and mushrooms but couldn't save the lacklustre soup. Egg fried rice was decent though.
