Banana, Espresso And Crunchy Oat Muffin Exactly how many muffins did I buy?! 🤭 I dare say this was the best out of them all. I even enjoyed it more than the chocolate one as I found that the espresso flavours brought out the banana flavour even more, plus the slight bitterness provided a delicious contrast to the sweet muffin. I wasn’t expecting the melty gooey goodness inside even though this was kept overnight, and it’s good even without reheating! Totally recommend getting this if you see it on the menu!!!

Earl Grey Blue Tea, Mixed Berries Muffin The exterior of this was every bit as glorious as the banana muffin, but it’s what’s inside that sets this apart. If you love tea, try the earl grey muffins when they’re available at bundt because they’re really aromatic and yummy! You can see the tea leaves speckling the muffin. It’s a bit on the crumbly side and not as moist, probably because there’s no banana to hold it together, but it’s light and delightful to munch on. There was a raspberry center and some blueberries studded on top, so while this was definitely a healthier alternative, I wish there’d been more berries inside. Still a yummy muffin anyway, but if you love bananas or chocolate more, just ditch this and go for the banana muffin!

Banana Muffin With Nutella And Crunchy Oat BUNDT has a price list published somewhere but their daily offerings change every day they don’t bother printing or posting it up, and honestly I’m not even mad. I don’t know how much most of the stuff costs (it’s kinda pricey), but it’s worth it. Got our paws on the banana muffin today with crunchy oat. This was the Nutella variant, which was arguably the best out of the three (there were espresso and walnut options too). What made it extra awesome was that this muffin cake fresh out of the oven and we devoured it while it was still warm! So good! It was moist and soft, with lots of gooey Nutella and chunks of banana. The crunchy oat bits actually dropped off with some handling, but we just picked them right off and ate them right up. Not too sweet, and just super super tasty. Would totally make another trip down for muffins!

[📍 Porta - Revisit] Made a revisit to Porta for their 3course meal again. Ordered: Appetisers 1. Spanish octopus❤ -The octopus was perfectly cooked - Chewy yet tender. This was my mum's favourite dish of the day and she even commented that it was the best cooked octopus she had ever eaten. Yeaps so highly recommend this dish!! The baby potatoes (patatas bravas) that comes along was also very delicious. The exterior was crispy while the interior was creamy like mash potato. 2. Prawn and avocado - The guacamole was very well-seasoned and complemented well with the corn chips. It didnt feel overly jelat or clogging. I really love the romesco sauce as it brings an additional spice flavour to the whole dish. Mains 1. Iberico pork chop - Read a lot of reviews about how amazing this pork chop is. To be honest, it was good and tender but not mindblowing or impressively fantastic. The creamy tangy mash sauce can be a little too clogging after some time. Had better and more well-marinated pork chop elsewhere before but i must say that i am glad that the meat is tender and had good fat-to-meat ratio. 2. Pan-seared salmon with pumpkin sauce - The salmon was a little too dry and overcooked. Probably might be due to the fact that i ordered well done. Could probably have the doness to be medium so that it will be more moist and tender. I was impressed by the pumpkin sauce and felt that it really complemented well with the salmon. Love the subtle natural sweetness of the pumpkin puree. Desserts 1. Deconstructed black forest - The chocolate lava cake was on the sweeter side despite being dark chocolate. Was really impressed by the maraschino cherry's subtle acohol taste😊 2. Deconstructed tiramisu❤ - Ordered this dessert again because i really love their choco/coffee cake (perfect level of sweetness) as it was aromatic and had subtle gao bitter undertone. Really complemented well with the icecream and coffee jelly. Worth it: 3.5/5 (Good ambience, quality as well as service. Plus the food was really above average... with the burpple beyond 1 for 1 it will BE 100% worth it) Taste: 4/5 (Hits and misses but the standard is really above average) Overall: 8/10 #burpple #portasg

Great appetisers! (Octupus and salmon) Enjoyed a 3 course meal at half the price with Burpple Beyond. We were particularly impressed with the appetisers (the octupus and the salmon). As for mains, the rib eye steak was great and nicely cooked. The pork was flavourful but too tough. The desserts were too overwhelming in our opinion (tiramisu went a tad too hard on the coffee, key lime meringue was a bit too sour). That said, it was good that we had a nice mix of flavours. Service was also excellent! Worth a try with Burpple Beyond.

Exceed Expectation Service and food are both amazing. The one for one deal is such a steal for such fine food. My husband and i both ordered the squid as appetizer having seen the many ravings about it. It was as many claimed here. Really good!! I ordered the prawns pasta and my husband had the pork. He wolved it down super fast proving how much he liked it. The blackforest cake is a must order! Apple tart was fine. We prefer the black forest cake.

Margherita DOP (SGD $25) @ Amò. This won our hearts with its clean-tasting, bright, simple vegetal sweet bready flavours. . Their signature pizza dough is made with natural leaven, semolina, a secret aged yeast starter, and extra virgin olive oil. . The result is a pizza crust with a beautiful, thin, crispy edge, however, the center tends to be soft, doughy, and limp, unable to support the ingredients. . In classic Italian style, this is garnished with fresh tender basil leaves, San Marzano tomato passata (which is light but juicy fresh), and creamy Denominazione Di Origine Protetta (DOP) buffalo mozzarella cheese. . The latter 2 ingredients (tomato and cheese) are imported from Campania, Italy, a region known for producing the best quality tomatoes and cheese. . . . Amò More details in profile & blog

Roasted Mushrooms With Egg Confit (SGD $12) @ Amò. This has a medley of sauteed tender juicy mixed wild mushrooms (straw, oyster) and soft caramelised onions, served with a wobbly soft egg confit. . Garnished with micro-greens, you're meant to mix in the egg to lend a silky texture to the appetizer. . This has a bold earthy salty savoury eggy flavour, rather intense for me. . . . Hand Cut Fries With Rosemary (SGD $12) @ Amò. This is served with a side of creamy truffle mayonnaise, which has delicate earthy milky sweet flavour. . These fries are thick cut and fluffy to the bite, the potato having robust herbal sweet salty flavour. Actually rather addictive, you can't stop reaching for more. . . . Hitsumabushi Meal First time at Man Man. Service was quick, not intrusive. Most of what you need is on the table. Extra sauces, wet towels etc. They provide 2 sauces, normal.and spicy. Both sauces are rather thick and it's a nice feeling when you can drizzle as much as you want over your food. Unagi is freshly grilled, not as fatty as others I've had. The rice is of a standard that you expect. Each grain is distinct and the rice has a nice mouth feel when you eat. They provide fresh wasabi root and a grater for you. It's a nice touch, if you consider the cost of 1 root of wasabi. The wasabi is fresh and complements the rice nicely. It's not the pungent / spicy taste that you get from eating the usual sushi wasabi. The wasabi also helps to clean the palate so that u dont get sick of eating the rice with the sauce. The other condiments are okay, nothing outstanding.

MAN MAN UNAGI x TEPPEI Had this pretty good Kaisen X Hitsumabushi don from the new Man Man Unagi restaurant in Clarke Quay Central. At $32.50, it doesn't come cheap, but, quantity of the food justifies the price. Although I was quite disheartened to see that the Unagi was frozen, they did prepare it well, and it was crisp on the outside and moist and tender inside. They have both the original and spicy unagi sauce (I went for spicy, although the original is sweeter). I did expect the unagi to be fresh though :(, and see it cut live - was really quite a bummer. As for the sashimi, it was of a nice, fresh, and had a good mix but unfortunately, was rather tasteless. They could've done a better job with the marinade. The combo of Kaisendon and Hitsumabushi is rather unusual I must say, but it (kind of) works I guess? Overall, the food could've been better in terms of quality, their quantity hits the right spot. It's still extremely satisfying to eat here though, a good meal! Come to Man Man to fulfil your unagi cravings! Rating: 4/5
