Good Food, Good Service Recovery Had a delicious meal at Arbora perched on top of Mount Faber; they had a Mothers' Day promotion of a complimentary main course for mum with every 3 main courses ordered - perfect for our family of 4. They have both an outdoor (al fresco) & indoor (air-conditioned) area for dining; we opted for indoors because we are a sweaty family 😂 Our lunch was delicious & served fairly quickly; I was impressed. We had the Herb Roasted Half Chicken ($21++), Barramundi ($29++), Creamy Carbonara ($21++), Lobster Napoli ($28++), & Chempedak Bread & Butter ($13++). My favourites were the pastas; I felt they were delicious & of a good portion. Also pleased with the dessert as it is fairly unique & also tasty. Unfortunately there was a bit of a miscommunication at the end of our meal when we called for the bill (which took a while to settle) - nothing too dramatic, no tables were flipped. It was solved amicably after I gave my honest feedback. I was going to write this positive review anyway because this place deserves it; good food, sweet view, nice ambience & friendly service. But I must say that I am also impressed with their service recovery & sincerity. Special thanks to William who took the effort to call me even after I left with an explanation. I really appreciate it. If you intend to dine here in the month of May, make your reservation on Chope & use the code CD5AB to get 300 extra Chope$. Don't say bojio 😎 If you drive, they have complimentary valet service if you spend $60 on food, which is an added bonus. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Chope
Rack of Lamb from the newly launched Arbora @onefabergroup A premium item in the menu, these charcoal-grilled lamb chops are sourced from Australia. Chef Kenny from Arbora has a knack for adding something unusual and unexpected to his recipe. Instead of mint jelly as a sauce for the lamb, he uses prune juice mixed with bell pepper and lemon. The restaurant with a view, an escape from the city, and the place to experience hilltop dining with friends and family. Arbora @onefabergroup is literally perched atop a hill at Faber Peak Singapore, 100m above sea level, with stunning views of Sentosa Island and the harbour. This is one of the few places in Singapore where you can dine with family or a date and be surrounded by nature. It serves up classic Western fare, refreshing cocktails and botanical-inspired beverages. Look out for hearty food to share such as the Tomahawk Pork Rib, Fisherman’s Stew, Braised Beef Cheek, and Chilli Crab Potato Skins. Hungry already? #DFDSP

👉Gennaro’s Mixed Grill👈 Free-range pork & fennel sausage, herby marinated skirt steak, higher-welfarechicken thigh, portobello mushrooms, slow-roasted tomatoes with smoky chilli ketchup & crispy polenta chips 。 Set along the beautiful waterfront facing Sentosa island, @jamiesitaliansg is located in Singapore’s largest shopping mall, @vivocitysingapore. You can also find them at @forumtheshoppingmall, serving classic Italian food with a @jamieoliver twist. 。 Everything on the plate was alright, nothing mind-blowingly delicious. The chicken thigh and skirt steak could have been more succulent. Priced at around $44++, I felt that it would definitely not be worth it without using the HSBC Entertainer 1-FOR-1. 。 P.S. My first time trying polenta chips and I love it 😋! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Italian Steak And Fries ($34) If you’re going to name a restaurant after yourself, you damn right better make sure it’s good (or at least acceptable lah..) Unfortunately, this can’t be said for Jamie’s Italian, which is owned by the celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver. We visited the place expecting to be wowed, but were left very much underwhelmed, even dissatisfied. The steak was thin and dry ( I mean come on... look at it! there’s even a hole in the center like what the hell!!!) with a $34 price tag. At that price, I could go to jack’s place and get a decent portion of quality beef. This has no belly score. 0/5. 🙁

Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine I ordered the Grilled Chicken with Rice Vermicelli & Vietnamese Rolls. The chicken was crisp and had a peanut crunch to it. The rice vermicelli, was moist enough to be eaten as rice, which was surprising because the dish came with no soup. The vietnamese rolls were crispy and the sauce it came with had just the right amount of tanginess and sweetness.
A great dinner with the colleagues. The Viet White Coffee is a must! It costs $270 got 13 pax which is at a pretty high range, considering many of us didn't order for a filling dinner. Well, this is a place to go if you're considering a new cuisine! Oh, just to note, we went to the one at Harboufront Center. Do make a reservation if you're considering for a group! #burpplesg #burpple #review #food #thanksforthedinner #teambuilding
This dish fascinates me always. First, it comes with two deep-fried spring rolls despite it being a noodle dish. Even more amazing, some places pack their spring rolls with the rice noodles too and a whole melange of prawn and herbs – Thai basil and coriander, mostly. Secondly, I love how fish sauce changes the flavour profile of a dish so drastically, from zilch to fab. You get this burst of savouriness and amazing zing of umami from the drizzles of sauce you add to the dish alongside the deep-fried shallots – both out of frame. Lastly, you get an illusion of healthy eating because all you get are clean flavours as well as the generous addition of herbs and vegetables (both fresh and pickled), and lean protein from the grilled beef tenderloin which is typically studded with roasted ground nuts for texture. Ok, that's all.

Deep Fried Egg White With Red Bean Filling Wow, have got to say that this is one traditional Beijing style dessert that you’ve just got to try, and many more should replicate. While the whisked egg white was fluffy but bland in itself, I thought that this was rightfully so, for the sweet red bean paste complemented it really well. The two textures - fluffy x mushy - was delightful to have.
Fortune Pot in Peking Style @ Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant This is the one place you should go to celebrate CNY this year. Indulge in dishes like the fragrant Fortune Pot in Peking Style with your family 🍲 There were many layers from shark’s fin, abalone and prawn as the first, roast pork, mushroom and yam as the second, and chicken and cabbage as the third. A really great dish for sharing and was surprisingly so filling too!
Lou Hei to your hearts content at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant this Chinese New Year! As the name suggests, this restaurant revolves 360 degrees in about a dinner sitting of about 1.5-2 hours. Don’t worry, you won’t feel as if you’re rotating and you’ll actually get to see the Harbour, VivoCity, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to catch the fireworks from Sentosa! 😍 Indulge in their popular dishes such as the Bird Nest with Egg Whites, Pen Cai, and Beijing Duck Skin. The most interesting dish award has to go to the Bird Nest with Egg Whites as I’ve never heard of a savoury version of bird nest, and Prima really nailed it.😋 As for their Pen Cai, I loved how they used a soup base instead of the thick starchy ones we always have. This really made consuming Pen Cai less heavy, allowing you to really have countless bowls and not be sick of it. Finish off with their soufflé dessert - a Chinese take on a donut, with red bean filling. You can choose to have this with sugar, but I felt eating it with the red bean itself was good enough as the red bean had a natural sweetness to it. . Thanks wafflenessa for the review 😊. . Where to dine? Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant 201 Keppel Rd, Singapore 099419

You don't need an excuse to pamper Daddy. But since it’s Father's Day, what better reason to treat him to dinner at Crystal Jade~ Deep-fried grouper filled with prawn paste and tossed with crispy garlic ($26.80/4 pieces) was a particular favorite of mine. Fresh prawn paste complimenting the fresh grouper plus crispy bits of fried garlic, the dish was bursting with intense flavors and alluring aromas. The Double-boiled giant grouper with ginger and premium ‘han zao’ ($22) is another dish that bounds to warm Dad's heart. In celebration of Parents’ Day (yes there is such a day in Korea & USA on 1 Jun), Crystal Jade's group of restaurants (such as Crystal Jade Palace, Crystal Jade Jiang Nan etc) are serving a line-up of dishes made to wow your parents. Happening from now till 30 June 2019, the line-up includes: • Pan-seared foie gras with crispy bean curd & crepe ($16.80/person) • Deep-fried yellow croaker with sweet vinegar sauce and pine nuts ($29.80) • Char-grilled Iberico pork rib ($26.80/portion) • Supreme fried rice with prawn, bacon and lychee wrapped in lotus leave ($30) • Creme brûlée with ginger & bird's nest ($6.80) Crystal Jade Dining IN Address: 1 Harbourfront Walk, Unit 01-112, VivoCity, Singapore 098585 #crystaljadesg

They have launched their Parents’ Day promotion, a two-month long promotion (3 May to 30 June) with exclusive a la carte dishes and set menus. - Using fish as the primary ingredient, I’ve picked 3 notable dishes from the a la carte menu. They are: . • Deep-fried grouper fillet with prawn paste tossed with crispy garlic ($26.80/4pcs). Crispy & fragrant! Love the texture of the fillet. Available at Crystal Jade Kitchen . • Deep-fried yellow croaker with sweet vinegar sauce and pine nuts ($29.80). Crispy on the outside with moist, flaky flesh inside. The appetising hawthorn sauce goes well with rice. Be careful of bones though. Available at Crystal Jade Jiang Nan. . • Double-boiled giant grouper head with ginger and premium ‘nao zao’ ($22/pax). A comforting bowl of nutritious soup with high-collagen content. Available at Crystal Jade Golden Palace. - #crystaljade #crystaljadesg #cjorigamiwlove #chinesecuisine #chinesefood #parentsday
Good Dimsum We ordered this carrot cake, siewmai, fried beancurd skin with prawn, chicken feet, crab fried rice, three egg spinach, and mango pomelo for dessert. Really enjoyed all the dishes. Restaurant has a nice view too if you can get a table along the full length glass windows. Bill came up to about $100 for 2 of us.
