Beef Brisket Noodles (soup) Since young, my favourite food was chinese Beef Brisket Lamian at Banquet in Causeway point, topped with chinese Chilli Oil. Sadly, the store closed down, and I had difficulties finding the same dish outside restaurants like Din Tai Fung.
When I discovered Tai Feng Wei, I found my favourite dish in NUS. Although pricey at $6.30, the machine-cut noodles complement well with the tender and favourably-sized beef and chilli oil. The vegetables are also adequately leafy and not overly stalky like in cheaper stores.
For a very filling experience, I add noodles ($$0.80) and always end up highly satisfied. However, that is not necessary, and I only do so out of my sheer enjoyment of the dish.
