First time trying this, the beef slices are quite nice but a tad too sweet. Love the sous vide egg in it, too bad the rice is quite dry. If only they could put more sauce on the rice!
Picked this up for $3 from their freezer box which has quite a good variety of Japanese ice-creams available. Coated in a caramel shell, this flavour comes with a sugary Mochi, Black Honey and Kinako flavours within that simply does all the magic as they blend so amazingly well together. It's hard to describe, but let's just say that this is one thing I will find hard to resist the next time I pass by a display freezer that carries it in the future ...
Used to takeaway their Katsu Don when I was still schooling when I needed to study at home for lunch. The Unatama Don is somewhat like an Oyako Don; just replace the chicken with chunks of Unagi. The Unagi isn't the best quality, especially with scaly textures in several parts but it's still the usual Ichiban standards which is more than decent. What caught me more surprised was the amount of egg served which only covered a small area probably nearly only half of the bowl when it used to cover the whole bowl of rice. Hard to justify especially given it comes at $13.90 ...
Kurobuta Shogayaki Udon ($9.30)
Japanese noodles with black pork & onions in ginger sauce.
Not feeling well. Need something warm for my stomach. The soup base is quite flavourful and strong in ginger taste. Kind of reminding one of sesame chicken.
