The mackerel flakes do make it better, but while it was a decent version it's definitely not spectacular.
I am excited when Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee opens around my hood but kinda disappointed after trying it.

What I really like about the original stall at Old Airport Road is it comes with a mountain of fried fish meat when I ordered the large bowl. I got a large bowl here at their New Holland Road outlet too and I hardly can find any fried fish meat... maybe just a few bites hidden in the gravy.. its mainly slice pork belly and Braised egg.... I think I would rather travel further next time.
