Originally from Serangoon Gardens market, this 3-year old Italian hawker stall has upgrade to a brand new location that is beautifully decorated.

Check out their signature dish, made with fresh Tiger prawns, squid, vongole, seafood broth, cooked in a classic Aglio Olio style.

The mushroom soup is also made from scratch using white button mushrooms and shitake mushrooms. The soup was more of a mushroom puree than a mushroom soup, lots of chunks of mushrooms could be seen in dish.

This dish definitely had a homey and unpretentious feel to it. Simple, yet delicious. The staff (or is the lady the owner?) also seemed to be chatty and friendly with patrons. Thanks @justinfoodprints for the restaurant recommendation!

For our first stop, we had traditional Naples-style Pizza. Cicheti has a nice, slightly rowdy ambience but it adds to the charm.
Left - Pizza Magherita
Classic pizza with nicely balanced tomato sauce and moist fresh mozzarella. Cornicione (crust) ain't too bad either with crisp exterior and a nice open crumb.
Right - Pizza al Pollo
Almond pesto, caramelised and fresh onions with shredded chicken. A nice counterpoint with its original flavors, though I would have omitted the caramelised onion.

Wicked Garlic is a madly popular place among the office crowd at CBD. I always walk past their outlet at International Plaza and it was always packed. They've now owned a new outlet on the 5th floor of Cineleisure, a corner unit with full ceiling to floors windows that filled the place with plenty of natural light.

Food wise, the standard is as good as, or should I say better than, at the CBD because (pssst... the head chef is now based here at Cineleisure). Pictured are:

has got to be my favourite here - would gladly finish it by myself. Not overly cheesy, with creamy aromatic truffle mushrooms, within a fluffy, slightly chewy, crusty schiacciata. Eat it while itโ€™s hot and itโ€™s absolutely comforting. Iโ€™ll be back for this! ๐Ÿ˜Œ
