The Mascarpone cream cheese was thick and decadent, but so delicious!
I also really enjoyed the sprinkle of crushed walnuts on top â thought it added a nice crunch.
Melts really quickly, but a really tasty treat ~
Pretty average to be honest(?)
But Iâm personally a huge fan of sweet potato, so I greatly enjoyed the bits of sweet potato inside ~
The matcha has the right amount of bitterness to it and the Kurogoma was (surprisingly, but delightfully) sweet !
The Softserve has a pretty distinct taste for both flavours and the waffle cone was crispy and tasty.
A little pricey at $6.90, but pretty worth it if you were to ask me.
Youâve got to try their signature Ă©clair.
The mix of rose, raspberries and lychees truly makes for a delicate and well-balanced flavour contained in wonderful choux pastry.
It was really tasty and the flavours were surprisingly complementary.
The pancakes were really soft and airy and not too sweet.
But thatâs fine, because the Chantilly cream and honey syrup helped to give the pancake the typical sweetness one would expect from a normal pancake.
Surprise surprise, these souffle pancakes are found in a hawker centre, probably the most affordable souffle pancakes you'll ever find. Took 25-30 minutes wait, was cloudy, melts in your mouth but was kinda eggy. Needs more sauce. 4/5
I have a weakness for all things fluffy (and sometimes jiggly) so this was number 1 on my to-try list here (especially when itâs a collaboration with Riz Labo Kitchen).
A lot of soufflé pancakes end up being too wet because of the height, but this size had the perfect ratio of airy batter and lightly browned crust.
Do opt for the additional Hokkaido Milk Soft Serve for only $3, which is super worth it considering how generous the swirl is.
This dish is perhaps the stuff of an egg loverâs dreams â a thick, succulent tamago-style egg patty sits in between two pieces of white bread toasts. It is lathered with kombu (Japanese kelp) mayo and pear sauce, before the sandwich is finally cut up into two halves. đł
Personally though, while I did find it to be a decent and pretty enjoyable fare, I didnât exactly uncover any electrifying or sapid flavours. The tamago also leans away from the sweeter notes and more towards the savoury side. And thatâs probably because its established, characteristic sweetness is supposed to come from this dishâs condiments instead. But given the tamagoâs great deal of thickness, I firmly believe more kombu mayo and pear sauce would have galvanised this. đ§
Grids & Circlesâ highlight comes in its aesthetics though. They have taken pride in their interior design, boasting a very clean, bright, Scandinavian-influenced space with hints of Japanese design principles. The amount of detail and thought that have gone into doing up the place is insane though - at one point, I whipped out my phone in their restroom to take a side view of the interior and the things in there aligned perfectly to the grids in the camera mode. Talk about by design! đ€Ż Go for a seat upstairs if you can. Trust me - itâs a haven up there. Overall, very impressive stuff, and they hence score all the points they can get with their environment. đđŒ
And they even have some of their own merchandise they sell in-store, which I thought was a nice touch.
Notwithstanding its pretty steep prices, I will say that this is one cool place to check out. (7.3/10)
Textboom fluffy thin pancakes with espresso mascsrpone butter and maple syrup. Had this before and was as good 4/5
