Like many street hawker, Ah Kow moved into hawker centre in 1970s after the completion of development for Blk 226, and handed over the stall to his son to continue.. In 1980s, You Ee decided to change the name to "Huang Fu" to bring better prosperity (Fu) to the family's name (Huang)... Today, Huang Fu is operated by You Ee's eldest son and his wife.. Her #Hainanese mother are in this satay business for over 40 years (from #MangKaKa). I started patronizing them since early 2007 here and when they temporarily moved to the Temporary Market at nearby Whampoa Market Car Park in late 2006 for over 10 years now. Satays are #GrilledOverCharcoalFire at the stall. They make their own #PeanutsSatayGravy with #PineappleDip
