Four Seasons Durian Pancake
This coconut soft serve was definitely not for me :/ Threw it away after trying a few mouthfuls.
The Hearty Chicken Stew ($16) - The stew was savoury with a mildly sweet base. The chicken was tender, together with the carrots, potatoes and celery that were stewed to a soft texture. The dish came with toasted multigrain bread for us to dip in the stew. This was pure comfort food! Prawn Aglio Olio ($17) - Linguine with sautéed mushrooms, prawns, cherry tomatoes in basilic sauce. The texture of the linguine was done just right and the sauce had a kick to it without being overly spicy. Warm Chocolate Lava Cake ($12) - Chocolate lava, vanilla bean ice cream and salted cornflakes crumble. A sweet ending to the meal. Loved the idea of salted cornflakes that added texture to the dish. Dark Mist ($6.50) - Festive special. Chocolate infused with Earl Grey Tea.
KL Seafood Hokkien Mee ($8.80) - thick noodles in glistening dark soy sauce with a distinct wok hei. The sauce was black and rich. The taste was enhanced by the use of pork lard and crunchy cabbage. There were squid, fish and prawns used. Soy Sauce Chicken ($16 for half) - the chicken was tender and moist and was infused with bold savory flavor from the gravy. Best eaten with white rice. The Crispy Tofu was complimentary from the chef as we waited half an hour for the Soy Sauce Chicken to be prepared. :)
Aburi Salmon Mentai Mayo ($11.90) - This is so yummy!
Christmas Buffet Lunch @ Marriott Cafe.
There were many flavored pies to choose from -taro, red bean, thai milk tea, green tea, black sesame, custard, coconut, pumpkin, purple sweet potato, sweet egg floss. My favorite was the Tokyo Banana Pie. It tasted so good especially after I consumed it after heating up in the microwave oven.
Really rich and tasty chocolate eclairs!
Camping Trip - totally yummy 😋
Curry Rice with Lor Bak, Fried Prawns, Eggs and Crispy Pork Chop.
Quarter Chicken with BBQ sauce with mashed potato and pasta salad.
Creamy Mushroom on Sourdough ($12, add $3 for scrambled eggs, $2 for sunny side up)- The dish consisted of shimeiji mushroom cooked in cream sauce piled on sourdough bread with grated Parmesan cheese. The scrambled eggs were done nicely, creamy and had the right texture. The cream sauce for the mushroom was just YUMZ! The ATLAS Butterscotch Banana Pancake ($18)- The pancake was freshly made, which required a minimum 15 minutes wait. The pancake was topped with caramelised bananas,
Butterscotch syrup and Honeycomb ice cream. This was comparable to Clinton St. Baking Co's pancake. Spicy Hot Mid-Wings ($8)- This made an awesome side for two. It kinda reminded me of Mcspicy Wings paired with Nando's spicy sauce. Not a bad thing tho. Iced Peppermint Chocolate with Ice Cream ($8)- Peppermint and Chocolate? Perfect combination! All the dishes tasted great, definitely be back to try the other dishes!
