| B A R | This hard to find speakeasy bar isn’t the cheapest bar but for a one time experience the interiors does give off a Captain Hook’s Lair vibes. Will still prefer some other bar options personally. Here I got a bespoke gin cocktail - nothing fancy but $26 whoops.

Gold Digger Ordered this as it's name sounded very interesting and it did live up to expectations. There was some rose extract being used but the proportion was well controlled as it did not overpower the vodka. The frozen rose and rose bits also provided an additional sensory experience. This bar is crazy popular so I would recommend getting there before 10pm if you like a seat!

Iced Vanilla Latte Loving the moderately dark ambience here with Elton John and various other goldies serenading the cafe. Great place to chill with your friends over a cuppa.

Maybe Breakfast but not a dessert (ROI:20%) Dark Angel ($4.50) is hailed as a milk-chocolate lava that oozes out as one breaks the bread into half. It didn’t ooze unless I pressed it but it was barely almost sufficient for the rest of the bread interspersed with chocolate chips baked into the bread. For the chocolate lover, this Dark Angel just barely scrapes the passing grade but I wouldn’t go out for it specially. P.s also bought the chocolate cruffin ($4.50) but I would skip it next time - it was cold and lifeless like a vampire. ROI: 20% *Note: my taste palate leans towards dark bitter chocolate at a sweet spot of 65%-72% cocoa and a truffle-like texture. So please use that as a gauge of my taste perspective.

Pain Au Chocolat Lastly, I definitely don’t want to miss trying some classic type of pastry like this Pain Au Chocolat. Generous chocolate filling inside the pastry.

HANDS DOWN FAV French toast 🍞 📍Clarke Quay u know it’s good when u nearly cried after finding out it closed down 😭😭😭 just wanna do a review anyway for the memories they have sweet & savory options for the French toast; I’ve tried both. The sweet one comes with lots of berries, the savory one has BACON STRIPS and yes I prefer the savory French toast! The bacon went really well with the sweetness of the maple syrup AND the toast itself was super fluffy and warm with a slight crisp on the outside. an absolute masterpiece. I’m honestly so sad it closed down 😭

Every So Often I come to ronin every so often (as the title indicates) and it’s kinda a hit and miss with the scrambled eggs. I used to think the scrambled eggs were like the best in Singapore because it was runny like the Gordon ramsay style (if you know you know). But these days, it’s only like that half the time. Mushroom, bread and drinks are still good tho.

Savoury French Toast Although its called Savoury French Toast, its more of a sweet and salty meal. The toast with butter and syrup is so yummy I wouldn’t mind if they just gave me more of that. At first I found the braised apple kinda weird, but it cuts through the oily and saltiness of the bacon so it becomes a cycle of sweet and salty which is nice.

Lemon Olive Cake Icing was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the cake sort of dry and crumbly. I’d suggest a different cake if you’re here.

Hojicha Latte ($7) The taste was quite strong roasted tea but then milky and creamy texture. I think I have tried it already before but this picture was much better than previous one.

Matcha Calpis Soda (Iced - $7.50) I didn't tried their Calpis Soda previously. I just decided to try it out since I already tried most of their matcha and hojicha drink before. Matcha was quite strong taste in bitter but complemented well with calpis soda. But I just felt that it's a bit weird for a few tries.

Ceremonial Matcha (Hot - $8.50) I wanted to try it out since I have tried their matcha and hojicha latte previously. But their ceremonial matcha got me next level. The capacity is not filled but I think that adding too much water cause tea not too strong flavour and diluted.

Way too expensive for basics Service and table wait was amazing. Food wise mediocre. Literally scrambled eggs with toast for $16, top up pork sausage for 6, adding up to $22. Look at it. Normal pre packed, processed sausages I would say. Normal bread, not even sourdough. What can I say, basic and soulless food. A bit sad and disappointed and way too pricey. Mocha came in a tiny glass cup. Wasn’t tasty too. Ambience??, no ambience.

Reuben 17++ It's decent, everything was not too strong. There could have been more meat tho. The bread had a noteworthy hard crisp which reminded me of crispy waffles for some reason Overall expensive place and not worth it at all, food is decent but quite overhyped

Overall good experience. Value for money, not bad but sausage and bacon were a little salty. $33 for 2 breakfast sets + 2 coffees.

Gashouse Eggs | $13 Finally had the chance to hit up One Man Coffee after being greeted by long snaking queues during their brunch time. Got lucky and managed to snag a seat for breakfast. Opted for the gashouse eggs as I was not feeling hungry enough for the bigger plates. Absolutely loved how they made it, cheesy on the top yet oozy sunny side up egg in the middle. I’m personally not a fan of sourdough bread that’s too tough, but this crusty rendition had a great chewy texture to it. Rate:🌟🌟🌟
