Mont Blanc Chestnut cream over a chestnut cake. Looked great and tasted surprisingly good! (Coming from one who doesn't particularly like chestnuts) would definitely recommend the strawberry soufflé cake though!!

Banana Chocolat 5.3nett Fluffy chocolate meringue with cream that was quite sweet. Loved the crispy outside and cake consistency inside but the banana flavour could have been more pronounced

Royale Souffle Looks classic isn't it? Cakes from Patisserie Glace has never disappoint me. This cake is a combination of souffle layered in between strawberry shortcake. The fruits used to decorate the cake is fresh and inside the cake you find fresh strawberries too! It's not thinly sliced nor bits of it. It's actually halved strawberry in it. Seems creamy but the cream is light. Not too rich in taste/ texture. Pre-order for 15 persons at $90 + $2 for chocolate wording and discount of $3. At $89, it is pricey but it comes with quality assured. Worth to check out its variations of cakes available.

Sweet Potato Balls with Peanut Muah Chee and Black Sesame Muah Chee Platter ($7) S 夫人 @ Teck Seng Coffeeshop - Famed for its Sweet Potato Balls (10 for $3) that are crispy on the outside and soft with slight gooey sweet potato puree on the inside. Get the platter to enjoy the black and white muah chee too! 😘

Roast Meat over rice From Jiu Xiang Xiang Roast Duck 酒乡乡 炭烤 烧腊 鸡饭 Wallet friendly prices for the roast pork belly and roast duck rice. Not bad.

Value for money Zichar This Kopitiam zichar at Toa Payoh North is really value for money. We had our reunion dinner there tonight and set menu for 10 pax cost $438. And I must say all the dishes were on point and I could not fault them on taste nor portion nor the ingredients used. Especially good was the braised pork trotter where the meat would come off easily and the taste was savoury sweet after soaking up the braising sauce. The steamed garouper was also excellent considering this is a frozen fish. The flesh was firm and succulent, almost like live fish. With inflation running rampant, this zichar is still affordable and does not cut corners with the ingredient they use. Okay the ambience is not fantastic, being in a Kopitiam but the great tasting dishes more than makes up for it. Strongly recommend!

Old-School Fresh Cream Cake @ See Lian Cake Shop, Blk 138 Tampines St 11. The chocolate sponge cake base is topped with a thick layer of sweet cream, and colourful, flavoured gel. Love how the taste switches from chocolate, to blueberry, strawberry, lemon, and lime! Nostalgic!
