Both the Pig Trotter Bee Hoon and Braised Pig Trotter was bland and tasteless, the disappointing part was that the pig trotter was served on pieces instead of whole. The Bah Kut soup was too peppery for it's taste, don't waste your calories here!

You never need an occasion to justify eating cake, especially not at Lynn's Cakes and Coffee, where the cakes are moist and flavourful. The cake-to-frosting ratio is just right, and if you're looking for great red velvet and/or carrot cake, look no further. This bakery serves one of the best in town. Albeit slightly inconvenient, it is worth the travel.

Their food comes in rather large servings and their coffee beans are from liberty coffee. Really like their smoked salmon and pastries!

You're going to want to head here before word gets out. As if Creamier's waffles and ice cream weren't picturesque enough, the folks behind Sunday Folks have outdone themselves. They're still serving their signature flavours such as earl grey lavender and roasted pistachio, but - wait for it - as a soft serve in handmade cones. Customize your cones with various toppings like matcha nama chocolate, gula melaka mochi and fresh fruit. Or have your soft serve atop their famous waffles if you like. This space is much roomier, but it won't take long before a queue forms.

This brand new cafe was converted from a 56-year old provision shop. I like its open air concept as it makes for a refreshing change from living 24 hours in air-conditioned surroundings. The robust coffee served here is a special blend of three types of beans from Dutch Colony & Co. A must-have, assuming it is not out of stock, is the light-as-air Japanese Cupcake. Topped and also filled with a floaty whipped cream, eating the cupcake felt like I was enjoying puffs of cloud! There's even complimentary sweets that you'll recognise from our childhood sitting neatly on the counter. Very original. Tastes delicious. Definitely one of the more interesting and yummy dessert I've had. Looks exactly like a pot of flower.
