Ribeye [20++] again, opted for the smaller 200g cut and it was filling enough - maybe also due to the accompaniment of 2 complimentary sides that were well portioned (though the picture may not look so)!! comparing this to the striploin, I actually prefer the latter because it had a higher ratio of fats which I personally feel adds to the meat鈥檚 flavour and makes it more tender as well hahah! but this was also cooked perfectly to my request of medium and had a wonderful texture as well! the mac & cheese was pretty unique as well; the cheese used tasted slightly different and better than usual mac&cheese from other places!

Striploin [$18++] got the smaller 200g portion and it was filling enough for me! I requested for the meat to be cooked till medium and to my delight it was served with a nice outer sear while its interior was still slightly pink - just what I wanted 馃槏 the meat was tender and easy to cut through yet still chewy and I love that it wasn鈥檛 totally lean and had some fats to contribute to its flavour. I opted for an herb butter sauce and LOVED IT!!! fragrant and buttery, it combined with the beef juices and elevated to whole dish. the free sides made my meal feel even more worth it as they were substantially portioned. I鈥檇 definitely come here more often if they weren鈥檛 so far away 馃槩

Poke Bowl This is the most value for money poke bowl. For $9.90 I got a base (salad greens), choice of one poke (I chose shoyu salmon), and toppings (pineapple, carrot, tomato salsa, cucumber, pumpkin seeds and ikura). I added $3 for an additional scoop of yuzu soy ahi tuna. Each scoop is 75 grams of fish, which is whopping by poke bowl standards. There's the option to add on superfoods like avocado and pomegranate for $1 each, which is a fair price as well. It was so good!! I love how the poke is cut into such huge, satisfying chunks. The fish itself is really fresh and tender. And the marinade adds just the right amount of flavor. The shoyu with its saltiness and the yuzu with its subtle citrusy flavor, combining well with the pineapple and tomatoes. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. It was all in all just so satisfying and such a large portion too. Conveniently located at Tanjong Pagar MRT station, this is just a fantastic place for a post workout pick me up. :) 8.5/10

Makai poke: yuzu soy tuna! A value-for-money dish priced at $9.90. Every bowl is served with your choice of base and poke along side a mix of Japanese cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, pineapples, corn, carrots and some pumpkin seeds! The poke was quite fresh, though the yuzu was mostly overpowered by the mix of flavours from all the veggies. Overall a very refreshing and hearty meal!
