This new inhabitant on the buzzy Haji Lane (nearer to South Beach Road) dishes out a whole host of delicious suds on tap and in bottles β€” making it our new (and favourite) spot for celebrating TGIF. There are a couple of tables indoors, but we much prefer to have our pint alfresco on a cool breezy evening. Choose from eight beers on tap that are on rotation including ciders, wheat beers and stouts. If available, go for the local brewery Innocence Brewing's Unknown Wheat ($15) β€” the yet-to-be-named brew is our favourite! Otherwise, ask the friendly staff for recommendations. The unlikely pairing of your ang moh liang teh with dim sum may raise some eyebrows, but they go surprisingly well together. If you're coming in a small group, get the Dim Sum Platter ($15) to share, it comes with a pair of har gow, siew mai. chives and pork dumplings, beancurd sheet and pork rolls as well as bbq pork buns.

Had this 叉烧ηŒͺ肠粉 for lunch and it is just so great. The fried onions, accompanied with the sauce and the main dish misses together so well. The char siew is of the right marination as well, adding flavour (kinda salty and kinda sweet). The only downside is that it is NOT ENOUGHHH 😭

A 10-minute walk from Kallang MRT Station, this dim sum restaurant serves both dim sum and zi char dishes, so you can have the best of both worlds under one roof. Unlike its sister outlet at Beauty World that operates till 2am, Mongkok Dim Sum's Geylang outlet is operational 24 hours daily, making it the perfect venue for a fuss-free late night supper with a large group of friends. Start with their silky smooth Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp ($4.20) before digging into the Beef Horfun (from $6) and the Salted Egg and Butter Pork Ribs (from $14) β€” both tasty, filling options that are great for sharing! From the dim sum menu, skip the not-so-great Gula Melaka Steamed Cake (Ma La Gao) ($4) and go with Tastemaker Ni Eats recommendation instead β€” the Custard Buns (Liu Sha Bao) ($4.20 for three). The lightly salted custard centre is oozy and flowy, just the way we like it!

The ingredients were all hidden and covered under this plate of Chao-Da Bee Hoon with loads of lard... 😏 Can you imagine the smell of this? 😎

I walked past this place on my way to another lunch place, and I immediately knew I had to save space to try it out. After some research I realized that this is the stall that my dad used to take me to when I was a kid when it was located at Blanco Court.

Pro tip: add on the fried eggs as you enjoy the taste of this simple dish that has gone through the trials of time...

Had this due to some recommendations we read. I like that the soup is piping hot from start to end, and that the soup has a distinct seafood taste- the sweetness of it!
We did not bring tofu or vege to add in though we've heard we could.
The soup was added FOC. Promptly when level goes low.
The bowls of noodles goes well with the hotpot.
Recommend anyone who likes hotpot to bring along your own vege, canned mushrooms and tofu. Regretted not brining as these would go very well with the sweet fragrant soup.
Very friendly Uncle and auntie. Bless them!
$60 for 4 pax this time.

Devoid of loud, tacky signs, it's easy to miss this gem of a hotpot restaurant along Hong Kong Street. Within, LongQing oozes pretty hip vibes with sturdy wooden furniture and walls tattooed with paintings β€” this definitely isn't your typical Chinese mala hotpot joint! Bring your partner for an intimate dinner date and share one of the three hotpot set menus (from $55, serves two). Each set comes with a variety of meat and vegetables, along with a divided pot for two MSG-free broths. We recommend going for the concentrated wild mushroom broth and the classic spicy ma la. For a feast, also order the much raved about Luncheon Meat ($6.80), Potato Noodles ($3.80) and freshly fried Beancurd Skin Roll ($6.80), and save space for the super addictive Crispy Taro Ball ($7.80) for dessert! These crispy fritters surprise with a chewy, mochi-like yam paste (orh ni) centre!

Nett $13. The food is pretty legit here though the portion is small. You definitely have to upsize. The chef is really friendly but the auntie very anal.

I ordered the salmon mentai sushi which tasted the same as the don. The spider maki is abit spicy with soft shelled crab.

The key of a good pizza is in its crust and the base sauce. I thought da paolo did manage to achieve a good standard for both of those items and it really helped that the pizza was simply put together with rosemary chicken, mozzarella and avocado. Not quite Italy, but I ain't complaining.

Visited this place tahe fourth time today and ordered the Classico, Pistachio, Matcha and Earl Grey Lavender.

My favourite is Classico (slice $6.80/pc) which is a gorgeous creamy goodness. This is an authentic Italian tiramisu with mascarpone that's smooth and light, adorned with sprinklings of cocoa powder and chocolate flakes was a delight. The moist sponge fingers soaked with coffee and pleasant Khalua makes this dessert a delight.

In comparison, the rest of the tiramisu flavors are disappointing. The Pistachio Tiramisu has does not have fragrant nutty aroma and have weird metallic taste. Matcha Tiramisu looks elegant but did not did not have the distinct Matcha taste.

The Earl Grey infused with Lavender cake is moist, fragrant, refreshing and full of flavors! This newly added flavor is definitely the best after the Classico.

limited cocktail selection (i think they've 4 only?) but we were happy with our choices~~ i had the refreshing grinch (i can't rmb the name) which was tequila based with ginger and chubby had the girly pop or smth which taste like cosmo. Chubby's was too sweet for my liking and the alcohol isn't that potent but again, 1 for 1 i'm not complaining πŸ™ƒ

At first glance, this may seem like a shady, hipster, overpriced beer spot, but venture inside and you'll realise that it is in fact a cosy, super chill brewpub that serves both excellent craft beers and tasty, solid mains. Get the night going with a pint of their home-brewed Small Monster ($7 half pint, $15 full pint) or opt for the Flying Monkeys Smashbomb IPA ($7 half pint, $15 full pint) from Canada. For mains, the Crispy Egg Aglio Olio ($16) comes highly recommended, but spice lovers should try the King Prawn Pasta ($22). It’s the kind of hellishly spicy dish that will have you breaking a sweat even in an air-conditioned room. Cool down with the Beehive ($12) β€” an eggette (similar to the ones found in Hong Kong) drizzled with agave nectar and lemon zest, served with homemade bourbon kaya dip, coconut gratin and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Pro tip: Plan your drinking sessions around their Happy Hour (2pm-6pm, 10pm-12am on Mon-Thur and 2pm-6pm, 9pm-12am on Sun) to enjoy pours at $5 for half pint and $10 for full pint.
