This is the best Malaysian style CKT found in SG. Usually the SG style is more to the sweeter side. This is savoury and spicy which is what I prefer.

The shrimps are fresh and has loads of chives and bean sprout in the dish. Fulfills my craving for a plate of Penang CKT as this has loads of wokhey and uses lard when cooked.

Verdict: 4.5/5

Brunch at earlybird - chicken and pancakes were yummy. The pancakes were fluffy and the chicken was crispy but it’s a bit overkill to eat the whole thing alone.

Recommend to share since the portions are rather huge. Please make reservation too on weekends since the crowd is rather big. Coffee is so so, can skip if you’re here.

Verdict: 3.25/5

Overly hyped Hakka ytf. Definitely just average YTF in SG. Tastes a bit like factory made but it’s supposedly fresh.

The steamed fish hk style was really yums though, I would order this again but not the YTF.

Verdict: 2.5/5

Super yummy herbal pork leg and tomyum soup. This spread was super generous and definitely an overkill for 2 people.

Authentic Thai food. It is a rather new restaurant and the owner is very friendly. All the dishes tried was delicious and the mango sticky rice dessert not shown here is definitely worth the hype!!!! The owner gave us a scoop of yummy coconut ice cream because mangoes were not in season.

Will return when I have Thai cravings!

Verdict: 4/5

the closest to Malaysian YTF that I can find in SG. The turnip biscuits at the top of the photo are my faves! The “lai fun” which is an Ipoh specialty noodles are freshly made too so it’s a really a great combo.

Very affordable prices except the queue can get long on weekends/ peak hours.

Fixes my craving for Malaysian YTF and probably one of the better ones in SG.

This pizza is DA BOMB. I’ve never eaten such a simple but delicious pizza. The bread is light and fluffy, tomato sauce is tangy and goes perfectly with the burrata cheese. THIS PIZZA IS DA BOMB.

this place has Burpple too but you need to inform the waiter to use it before ordering which I didn’t so I ended up paying full price. But definitely no regrets.

Looking forward to try other dishes in the menu!!

Verdict: 4.75/5

This bakery is quite new and has been receiving a lot of attention. Their menu is limited and here are 3/6 (?) of the items from the menu. Overall not amazing and will not queue 30min for this again.

Cakes are moist and not too sweet. My friends’ favourite was the matcha, the powder used is high quality and has strong matcha taste.

Overall, just average cakes and overly hyped by the crowd.

This place as extremely overwhelming ratings about how great the pasta is. I think I may have ordered the wrong dish and the next time I go back, I’ll try the handmade ones instead as a second chance!

Very average vongole, clams were normal not super fresh and pasta was al Dante. Could not taste the white wine in the dish as well. I’ve eaten better vongole else where and the price point is steep as well.

Verdict: 2.75/5

Fresh and well seasoned skewers. Even though the queue was kind of long we were happy with the food served! It was not amazing but the place is affordable and closes around 12am so perfect to hang out on a Friday night.

Verdict: 3.5/5

This place had Burpple 1-1 on weekdays and this risotto is definitely one of the best I’ve had in sg! It was a pleasant surprise, the toppings were generous with very fresh shrimps, chorizos and mussels. Rice was cooked well, not overly mushy and the taste went really well together.

My friend was so impressed by this dish she said she would come back just for this. Won’t disagree tho!

Verdict: 4.5/5

This place had Burpple 1-1 and the steak was very well cooked and seasoned. Even the tomatoes garnished in the side has some onions and olive oil seasoning which tasted refreshing!

The service was amicable and worth highlighting cos the restaurant was really crowded on a weekday and the waitress was really attentive!

Verdict: 4.25/5

A hearty bowl of noodles in soup with all your favourite toppings - this is the mala mild 4 spicy. This has always been my favourite in hk and used to have it 2x per week cos it’s just so comforting and quite affordable.

Highly recommend the tomato soup and mala soup. Original pork broth is good too! The spice chicken wings and cucumber appetiser are great.

Don’t order the hk milk tea cos it’s really quite disappointing.
