Had the broiled chicken sourdough sandwich (rm17.80). This being one of the earlier purveyors of sourdough in KL, needless to say, it was good. Portion was generous. If you're not bulking up, sharing is not a bad idea at all. They serve coffee here too, but I'd move up to Piupiupiu to have mine.

In case you haven’t heard, this cafe is home to the 2018 World Latte Art Champ. While coffee's the obvious star, you'll be glad to know the food offerings are just as good. For a quick lunch on weekdays, the Pull Pork Sandwich (RM17.90) with fries will fill you up. Otherwise, share the Katsu Don (RM18.90) and Yakiniku Udon (RM19.90) with your colleagues. You can’t leave without a cuppa, and to see the champ’s pretty latte art, order a Cafe Latte (RM10.50) or Flat White (RM11.50) – you won’t be disappointed. Ps. Check out their newly opened roastery located just across the street for quiet time over a cuppa with a friend.

If there’s one thing our community flocks to Sri Petaling for, it’s this delicious dry ramen. The popular Nagoya Mazesoba (RM23) sees chewy noodles, minced pork, melt-in-your-mouth chashu, scallions, seaweed and egg yolk piled in a bowl. Burppler Brry Kh aptly describes it as a Japenese version of chilli pan mee. Enjoy an explosion of flavours — from the savoury pork to the tangy vinegar and the creaminess of the egg yolk. Once you're done with the noodles, you’re given a small scoop of rice to mix with the leftover sauce. Also share the juicy and crispy Pan Fried Gyoza (RM8).

Lazy weekends are made for desserts, and you can find delicate tiramisu cakes and silky soft serve at this cosy spot. While they have a selection of hot food — the Chicken Waffle (RM22) is made for cheat days — we’re big fans of their sweet offerings. Matcha lovers will fall for the Matcha Tiramisu (RM17), which Burppler Joey Tee has dubbed as "the best matcha dessert she’s ever had in the country". The Softserve Waffle (RM19) featuring the chrysanthemum soft serve and osmanthus jelly is also worth an order. For something super unique, they also make Coriander Softserve (from RM7). This was the Baconizer, with pork patty switched for beef upon request, layered with bacon and crispy cheddar . My first time here and likely not the last. Burgers made fresh to order, took some time to arrive but the steaming juicy patty was worth the wait. Patty size a little modest although after eating some sides (I got the pork nuggets they call Porkets) you'd be feeling full anyway. The signature sauce is what sets them apart, creamy but also tangy and sweet. Charcoal bun a bit dense for my liking but this would be a personal preference.

Maybe it's just me not having sake in ages, but this absolutely hit the spot in our balmy weather. Anyway, Yamatatsu is a Japanese izakaya of sorts located within Kongsi KL, serving a small selection of bar food and sake-based cocktails. While we were there, they were also joined by a pop-up grill OMG that served grilled meats. We had the shredded chicken rice bowl, the braised pork rice bowl 滷肉飯， curry fish balls and a chicken steam bun 刈包. Loved the pop-up x Japanese streetside pushcart vibe of the place located in the already gritty warehouse atmosphere of Kongsi KL. As this is a relatively small outfit, come early (or perhaps a bit later) to avoid waiting for seats or food. I'd definitely come back as prices are super reasonable, taste was good and I found the Gua Bao especially satisfying. No Midnight Diner 深夜食堂 to be found in my city, so this is an alternative I would gladly accept.

Taste was good but would have preferred a bit more pasta. First time here after hearing many good things about this place. Definitely would come back to try more when feeling better - the focaccia and sourdough looked tempting.

The two pizzas pictured are called Big Brunch and Smokey Robinson, the former a hearty pizza topped with beef bacon and beef pepperoni, the latter smoked salmon. The Truffle Mac and Cheese is a popular item on the menu. Something to try at my next visit, along with the Pizza Margherita (so undervalued!)

Love the ambience, although they basically kept practically everything from Dr.Inc/ Nala days. A very relaxing Sunday brunch sorta place, but one that requires some due diligence since the reservations stretch up to a week. Comes with gulai ayam and sambal udang, although I personally prefer some good ole sambal belacan to tie the savoury flavours together.
