We ordered some tapas; fried broccoli, eggplant chips and salmon ceviche. (All was ok except the broccoli was oozing oil)
After finishing all the tapas, we waited another 20minutes and my parents reminded the waiter we were still waiting on our paella. He said he would go check. Soon the manager came and told us it was gna take another 15minutes bc the chef didnât like how it tasted and he re-did it...... uhhhh ok I didnât rly understand, I was thinking it would be a standard recipe how could it go wrong.... not sure if that was rly the case or they just forgot our order lol. The paella was not bad but I just didnât like how they used frozen prawns. Are fresh prawns rly that much costlier?! The taste and texture of frozen prawns just ruined it!!! :( #burpple
Redeemed 3 of the deals at once since we went as a team of 6. Noodles had a good bite to them. I wasnât expecting it to be spicy but when it got to my table I could see the chili flakes mixed with the minced meat so I didnât add the chili oil. I did spam the vinegar tho hahaha.
and they offer free upsize for noods!! But it was rly too much carbs haha food coma hit me so hard when I went returned to sch.... #burpple
I love it when the noods r thick and chewy!! This isnât the lame machine pressed and cut squares but itâs the hand pulled kind!! And they didnât use any msg in the soup so +++points!! What a pity this is so far from whr I frequent or else Iâd be having this almost everyday hehe #burpple
This was a really huge cup it wouldâve been good if I could save half of it, if I were at home I could just stuff it in the fridge but i wasnât so.... I had to finish this on my own HAHA. Even to have only this for lunch was rly filling I donât rly wanna have to put myself through that again LOL but I still!! Love!! Acai!! Love how acai affair gives so much almond butter so I can ration it and every spoonful of acai will have a bit of almond butter as well hahaha does any1 else do this or is it just me #burpple
And I also liked the al dente pasta although b said it was too al dente HAHA. Just that we ordered their special which was pasta tossed with pork & porchini mushroom & garlic. I wasnât expecting the pork to be so fat..... we couldnât even eat most of the pork Bc it was just fat and skin LOL. And I wouldâve liked more mushroom and garlic, it was a lil bit bland...... maybe we shouldâve ordered something more.. flavorful haha owell
We got Yue Shack Stack which was a combination of the cheeseburger+ mushroom burger. We ordered it thinking itâd be 2 separate burgers but......... nvm it came out good anw. Just a lil bit greasy, the oil kinda oozes out when u bite into it, maybe Bc thereâs a deep fried mushroom in it haha. Crinkle-cut fries were meh, I prefer skinnier fries/SWEET POTATO FRIES!!!!!
The last time I was here I had the pork belly ones and I didnât like those at all. I had a bite of the prawn ones and those were good too!! The only comment I have abt this is that itâs kinda dry. Like if there was some kind of sauce then it wouldâve been better. On the menu it said it would come with chipotle mayo but I didnât see/taste it so idk whr that went hahaha

I wasnât expecting much bc all these kinda âmock meatâ stuff that Iâve tried in the past werenât impressive, some of them donât even taste like meat haha. But this one actually had the same texture as salmon sashimi!!!! It wasnât rly soft and mushy but there was also some kind of chewiness to it like a real salmon!!!!! Omg how did anyone manage to do this to a đ„?!?! hahaha
I wanna try other pokĂ© too!! But theyâre all in CBD and closed on weekends sigh. This time I tried the special yuzu wasabi from a pokĂ© theory and I was kinda disappointed, I couldnât even taste the yuzu?? Maybe Bc the wasabi taste was so strong sigh. But the cashew nuts r da bomb đđđ (but $2 for this small amount of nuts+ pokĂ© bowl is kinda pricey for a simple lunch= not sustainable for me sobs)
Yay I miss this so much, it tasted so familiar:â) but this tang yuan was like 92% flour + 8% peanut LOL only the middle part had a small blob of filling. Then again I doubt many hawkers make the tang yuan themselves ah prob just the frozen one sigh #burpple
But I wouldnât eat here without it, some of my friends had food poisoning from this place (& not just once!!!) so I was q hesitant to try LOL but I survived #burpple
