Shake Shack had recently arrived on the sunny island of Singapore, and till now, I have even yet to try due to the masses long queue. So since I was travelling to Japan, I decided to give it a shot! β€’
Stacking of their classic cheeseburger and their famous shroom burger together, this falls under the category of best of both worlds. The main star was the portobello mushroom! As I took a huge bite, I could taste the unami juice flowing into my mouth. It did not overwhelm my tastebuds; instead, it sets the stage for the "cheeseburger" to enter. Just a point to take note, try this burger only on your super cheat day because I think that Shake Shake uses soft buns as the base which sucks lots of oil into it. β€’
In conclusion, I will try their Shroom burger again but only if the queue time shortened till an hour. .

The sauce was light not to jerlat allowing us to finish the burger in a matter of seconds. The only regret was that our stomach was too small to try every item on the menu. smile_coffee left a memorable experience for both of us, be it the cafe atmosphere to the food they served. I will be back if I happen to be in Taiwan again.

Different from your thick and robust flavour, SAMA curry is much soupier and lighter in taste. You get to choose what spiciness level you would like to challenge and what kind of curry base you want. Both of my dishes I select level 30 spiciness and tomatoes and original base respectively. The spiciness will slowly creep to you after several mouthfuls, as for the curry base, I would still prefer our local curry but if I had to choose I would prefer the original base which had a hint of chicken broth while the tomato had a bitter and sour taste. β€’
I felt the main stars were not the curry base, but the sides. For example, the char siew gave a melt in the mouth sensation which surprised me! Its proportion of it fats to meat was well balanced making it a delight. The Moo Moo Hamburg was also the star of the dish; it packed with minced meat soaking up the curry broth, too bad the base wasn't flavourful enough or else i would definitely come back again for it!

Maybe it's just me who's not used to the light and soupy curry, as such I didn't manage to enjoy it, but I have to say it is better than some chain store curry outlets here in Singapore! .

The sweetness of the cake was not overwhelming at all, making this a delight for an afternoon tea snack. However, I could not say for the price of the cake as it comes with a hefty price tag.

Although the white chocolate was a tad too sweet for my liking, it was salvage, by the texture of the soft served which was smooth and had little icicles in it. Maybe next time, I should try the mixture of both worlds?

Snaking long queue could always be seen outside the shop where hungry patrons are eagerly waiting for turns to feast onthe light battered and flavourful bowl of tendon. Honestly, no matter the countless times I visit this shop, I would never find it gerlat that's why ginza tendon is always one top choice for tendon.

Sandwiched between 2 sesame bun was the double chunky beef patties, a fried egg, some sprinkled of cheddar cheese and finally drizzled with the housemade bbq sauce. β€’

I was surprised that patties, where handled by the chef carefully as it was not too dry and it was tenderly soft. The melted cheese and the fried egg enhance the savoury flavour of the bun. However, I was a little disappointed with the housemade bbq sauce as it was mild and it lacks smokiness taste to it. The sauce proportion was also insufficient compared to the size of the burger. β€’

For Fries lovers, ( definitely me ) you will be fed well with those thick cut golden fries. Do add-on the range of sauces to entice your experience; I would strongly recommend the parmesan truffle β€’

Kiji is famous for the Osaka style okonomiyaki and after taking a bite, I understand why they were included in the Bib Gourmand section of the Michelin Guide. β€’
The noodles did not had any alkaline taste and the outer layer was a tad crispy giving it slight crunchy texture. I think the housemade sauce was the main star, it was filled with flavour but not too overwhelming to the extent where you would feel gerlate. Overall the noodle was a comfort food after a hard day of work. β€’
PS. do take note of the classic wall with a leading stairwell as it can be easily missed.

I got to say, I am disappointed. The bread was still acceptable, where to outer layer was crispy but the core was tad dry. The disappointment was the fillings, it was lacking of flavours, I could hardly taste any caramelised from the pork, luckily the cabbage was the freshed and not soggy. I will definetly trade this with any of the Park bench deli sandwich! β€’

I love how the soup itself carried a full bodied flavor without the feeling of jerlat-ness which allow me to finish the soup till the last drop. β€’
Another item which I love was the thick slab of char siew. It came as a surprise as many ramen shops in Singapore usually served their char siew as thin slices to allow the broth to soak efficiently. However, Ramen Nagi's thick slab char siew was still able soaked up broth giving a much richer flavour! It was a delight! For those who are more diet-conscious, can still order the thin slices of char siew.

Coincidentally I also heard that at Amoy Street food centre have a young hawker that was voted by straits time as the "Most Handsome" hawker, as such I deiced to give it a try.

This bowl of Bah Chor mee managed to satisfy my cravings. For 5 dollars, you will get a wholesome, warm bowl of soup filled with full of ingredients. The soup was flavourful, and the noodles were both thick and springy! The only thing I hope could improve was the Chili. I felt that it should be fried longer with the dried shrimp to bring out the fragrance.

Homemade with their heirloom recipe the grass-fed beef rendang was soft and tender, and when mixed with the fluffy seasoned Japanese rice, it was detectably good! The additional Peranakan Archar, makes a great palate cleanser making you craving for more.

I would recommend for those who are looking for something quaint with a tad twist in it. By the way, this is already my fourth time trying this dish, and I still love it!
