It wasn’t too crowded on a weeknight evening when we visited, and the food came quickly. Balance of flavours were pretty spot on, with super al dente noodles (delicious!). The minced meat was slightly spicy so for those who may not deal with spice as well, you have been warned. We added a little vinegar and chili oil and had no regrets.
The braised pork we got on the side was nothing to shout about, unfortunately. Meat was still tough although the flavour was pleasant. I’ll be back, but probably wouldn’t order the side dish again. Super worth it on Beyond’s 1-for-1!

All the reviews that talk about how good value this bowl is for money with the quality of ingredients used are right. The salmon was fresh and aburi-ed to perfection, essentially melting in my mouth together with the mentaiko sauce. I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity of salmon pieces as well - a third hidden piece of salmon waited for me as I savoured the first two.
The pieces of foie gras and otoro were aburi-ed beautifully, explaining the pleasant perfume of charred foods (not the chao-da kind of scent, don’t you worry) lingering in the store. They were fresh and delicious as well.
The truffled rice was heavenly, and I’m salivating just thinking about it. The flavour was not too strong and overwhelming. There were a unique combination of textures within the rice thanks to the fish roe and mushrooms(?). Overall a really solid dish even if the salmon wasn’t in the picture.
The ambience was fun, with 80s hipster arcade vibes with a neon sign, fun lights, and a little arcade game at the entrance of the shop. It was very quiet on a Monday night, and pleasantly so. Highly recommended!
The original was alright, slightly salty but it wasn’t as fragrant a dumpling I anticipated. Skin was good and the pork filling was fresh and well cooked though!
The fiery pierogi was the star. We loved everything about it and I can still taste it on my tongue even after 12 hours. The truffle flavour was present but not overwhelming, the siracha sauce was a good kick, cheddar was a nice inclusion and the texture of the potato filling was thick yet light. Would definitely recommend and get again especially if you like truffle, but share it with a friend because it has the potential to become jelak after a while!
After reading reviews of what noodles to get, I decided to go for the miso mushroom and was not disappointed! Loved the flavours especially the generous dose of mushrooms and shallots made the dish very fragrant. Taste and texture of the noodles were perfect. Would definitely get again.
The drink was slightly sweet so I would ask for less sugar in the future, but the salted plum taste was such a good one to cut the taste of the noodles. With all the floating bits inside it felt like a dessert to end the meal as well :) super worth getting the lunch set using Beyond!
