The Foie Gras Risotto ($34) was well done; texture of risotto grains were just nice and the foie gras was flavourful without being too jelat. Creaminess wasn’t too overpowering as well, but price point was steep even after using Burpple Beyond.
The Salmon Madness ($18) contains a poached egg drenched in Hollandaise sauce upon the Salmon, plated with baked zucchini, carrots, potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. This dish is a relatively healthier option. The salmon skin was not crispy and could have been done better; the hollandaise sauce was flavourful and well done. Could be better done but still relatively good!
The Truffle Bacon Mushroom Farfalle ($16) was a huge portion and had a rich taste of truffle which wasn’t too overwhelming. Creamy as well, but not too jelat. Containing generous amounts of bacons and mushrooms, this dish is surely worth a bang for the buck, especially with burpple beyond.
The Truffle Scented Mushroom and Egg Pizza ($23) was very flavourful and had subtle hint of truffle. The crust was thin and the egg added depth to this dish. Generous amounts of cheese and mushrooms as well. Eat it while it’s piping hot because it tastes wonderful! Would totally come back for this; one of my favourite dishes in BB Cafe to date!
The Laksa Pasta ($20) contains of deep fried soft shell crab, linguine and laksa sauce. This dish was a dry rendition of laksa and the linguine held the taste of the sauce really well. The soft shell crab was not too oily and still had a crisp even though we took a while to dig in. Would come back for this!
The Mazesoba With Deep Fried Chicken ($13.80) contains dry noodles, Char Siu, Bamboo shoots, seaweed, chives and fried chicken. The Bamboo shoot had a weird taste to it while the fried chicken was really salty. Not something I would order again.
The Mazesoba Nagoya Style ($12.80) contains spicy minced pork, soft boiled egg, seaweed and chives; when mixed together the ingredients really complimented one another. It gives off a similar vibe and taste to the Chinese Zha Jiang Mian and the noodles are really chewy. Would come back for this!
This dish was good, but not superb. Sauce is creamy but not jelat. Crab and lobster are real, not the imitation kind.
This is such a good dish, I will come back raving for more! Cheese was generous, the sauce is similar to domino’s classified pizza’s. The dish comes with prawns, pineapples and generous amounts of garlic chips which brings it to a whole new level altogether.
Presentation was great so I had high expectations for it, but this dish is too jelat for one person to finish. Crab cake was really oily and the hollandaise sauce was not up to standard (in my opinion).
Savoury and worth a try, the umami prawn linguine met my expectations of a decent umami tasting pasta. The prawns were also big and rather fresh, and the bonito flakes added depth to the umami flavour.
