- 3 cheese blend was earthy, neither the sharp cheddar kind nor the stinky sort.
- Flavour grew on me with more bites, slowly tasting like a garlic bread 🥖
- Flatbread was similar to a naan, I’m glad to find myself liking their bread too! [7/10]
- Malted brown butter cake was very moist, strong nuttiness like Ferrero Rocher with toasted hazelnuts!
- Hints of saltiness made it less surfeiting but still quite sweet for me due to the praline cream, would probably appreciate a more intense dark chocolate glaze 🍫 [7.5/10]
- Unique incorporation of a cake layer in the middle, but danish itself wasn’t crisp and a little soggy, felt it was more like a cake overall.
- Peach compote was refreshingly sweet and ripe soft 🍑 [5.5/10]
- Whipped marzipan with chocolate cream reminded me of the flavour of chinese almond beancurd that some might find too medicinal, I personally didn’t mind but thought the combi didn’t go well.
- Brioche was very soft and fluffy with a classic golden colour! [6/10]
- Digging deeper into the cup reflected varying textures and flavours like a surprise 😆
- Topped with macadamia and fine, slightly crunchy coconut flakes.
- Sponge cake was fluffy, soaked in white chocolate ganache and super airy light whipped cream, which I surprisingly enjoyed!
- Bottom passionfruit jelly had a thicker pulpy texture that balanced the sweetness well. [8.5/10]
- Bold Mediterranean flavour profile of the meat akin to falafels!
- Soft pita pocket with a slight yeasty aroma stuffed with cheese at the bottom, elevating the savouriness 🥙 [8.5/10]
- Pastry itself was so flaky with a delicate mouthfeel, could hear every crunch when I bite and just look at the crisp airy layers!!
- Generous garlic butter, lemon mayo, chilli-smoked paprika jam gave a burst of savouriness, reminded me of sambal belachan.
- Batter for the prawns were a little too thick and soggy due to the sauces though. [8/10]
- Bread was soft, lightly sweet and milky with a very crispy outer layer like Famous Amos cookies!
- Cream cheese in between the swirls was creamy with a slight tang together with lime syrup.
- Cookie bits on top were buttery and addictively crunchy 😋 [9/10]
- Chose their 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙨 (𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙪𝙢 +$1) with an overscoop of 𝙝𝙤𝙟𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙚𝙖 🍦
- Earl grey was fragrant with bits of sweet figs that tasted like honey.
- Hojicha had distinct notes of roasted tea flavour and paired well with the other components!
- Waffle itself was super crispy albeit a little too sharp at the edges.
- Grilled chicken thigh was tender, tasted light yet flavourful with the roasted sesame dressing.
- Salad was fresh with a variety of ingredients — sweet corn, carrots and pickled cucumber, I enjoyed the pineapples which provided a touch of sweetness!
- Appreciated the use of brown rice noodles which is healthier and didn’t taste much differently from regular ones. 🥗
- Acai was very creamy smooth without being icy and not as sweet compared to other acai brands, the bowl was so cute too!
- Came with bananas, granola, pumpkin seeds, almond flakes, cocoa nibs which gave an element of crunch and natural sweetness 😋
𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($8)
- Made with brown butter which gave it a golden colour, I loved how crispy and airy it was with a sweet fragrance!
- Thick and didn’t turn soggy at all. [8.5/10]
𝘿𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙨 ($9)
- 𝙎𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙤 (𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙪𝙢 +$1): Could barely taste any hint of nuttiness and it was rather sweet though the texture was smooth and creamy. [2/10]
- 𝘼𝙥𝙞𝙖𝙧𝙮: Honey ice cream with crunchy cocoa nibs had a light flavour profile and quite one-dimensional, a slight saltiness would probably combine well with the mellow sweetness. [4/10]
