You have to order this: Crispy Samgyeopsal Kkal Guksu With Pork Bone Broth ($15.90)

I was shookt at the quality of the broth. I was not expecting such a rich flavour when we ordered this. And those noodles paired wonderfully with it. If you like noodles and soup, I hope you’ll give this a try!

Enjoyed a chill evening with friends at Tempura Oji 😊 Of all the sides, I thoroughly enjoyed the Renkon Age (lotus root with truffle oil) and Tori Karaage which were thankfully not too oily.

If you're looking for something heavier, definitely recommend the Tempura Udon which used the thin Inaniwa Udon, and was served with tiger prawn and other vegetable tempura 😍

For drinks, you can find your usual selection of Japanese gin and whisky! 🤭

I must say, I haven’t come across such impeccable service in ages. There were only 2 employees - one of them being the boss, but not once was it a struggle to get their attention when we needed something. On top of that, they came over multiple times to ask how the drinks/food were, to top up the complimentary water, and even went to great lengths to introduce the cocktails and what it may have been inspired from. The complimentary tapioca chips were awesome as well, as were the ordered food (served in partnership with Sarnies) - miso salmon carbonara and king mushrooms. Great vibey music (a little too loud for me but it was tolerable) and ambience. Had an amazing time here, will be back!

Get. The. Beef. Burger. You won't regret it. The truffles kombu fries were great too. Food came quickly. Overall 10/10 experience.

Didn't take a photo before gobbling it all up but chicken meat was mushy and honestly unappetising on its own. The roasted skin tastes great though and the meat paired well with (or was damaged by) the mushroom sauce.

Potato wedges were the star of show, crispy and well filled-out.

Cost 7.90 nett, takeaways only.

Went on a Sunday for lunch at 1+pm and had to wait for about 20 minutes before getting a table. Food came really quickly after ordering which was great for our rumbling stomachs. Ordered 2 mains (duck confit tagliatelle and pommery pork chop) with a side of truffle konbu fries, finished with a cherry pie with ice cream for dessert.

Duck confit tagliatelle stars $24 (3.8/5)

It was good, but I had expected better given the reviews online. Pasta was a tad too soft. My friend who didn't quite fancy duck said it was really good though.

Pommery pork chop $24 (3/5)

Flavour was pretty average but the meat was nicely seared. Mashed potatoes were average as well. The apples were probably the highlight of the dish for me.

Truffles Konbu Fries $14 (4.5/5)

One of the best - if not the best - truffles fries I've had. Could. Not. Stop. Eating. Easily the best dish ordered.

Cherry pie with ice cream $17 (3/5)

Ordered it upon recommendation from the service staff. Smelled and looked really good but the taste fell flat for me. Didn't like how thin and crumbly the pastry was, making it hard to pick up. Cherry filling was pretty good tbh, sweet and sour - typical of fruit pies, but the lack of pastry to go with the filling made it slightly overpowering.

Overall a pleasant experience and would return again when I'm craving for truffle fries!

Total spent 62.90 after burpple beyond discount (original 86.90)
