La Salsa - TACO The Town (Talk Of The Town) 5 馃尞/5馃尞 Food is really good - in particular the tiger prawn chimichanga is a must try! The prawn is juicy and sweet. The osso busso is really tender and tasty for beef lovers. We also tried the Birra, a cheese based taco, which was a unique experience, the birra is best to be shared with other dishes! Will definitely be back to try more dishes, everything on the menu sounded interesting! Portions for all dishes are generous. The friendly service crew and pretty murals set a great tone for dinner!
馃幎I鈥檓 on tonight~ You know my CHIPS don鈥檛 lie, & I鈥檓 starting to feel it鈥檚 right~馃幎 When you mention Mexican food, there are a few classics that comes to mind but one of my favourites would have to be tortilla CHIPS! 馃ぉ馃ぉ馃ぉ Just a plate of these crunchy munchies paired with some tangy salsa 馃崊 & creamy guacamole 馃 will be so heavenly! . The Queso Fundido ($19++) here at @lasalsasingapore has given a whole new lease of life to the corn chips! 馃憦馃徎馃憦馃徎馃憦馃徎 Despite being a vegetarian option, I鈥檝e come to realise why this is so popular among other diners! 鉂 Featuring mozzarella cheese balls in a tomatillo sauce, there is nothing to not love about this dish! . The cheese balls 馃 were lightly breaded & fried to the perfect golden brown, donning a nice crisp coat while revealing a stretchy & creamy inside that retains a nice chew. 馃い馃い馃い I鈥檓 guessing they used Jalapeno peppers 馃尪 in the tomatillo sauce so it does have quite a bit of spicy kick but it was certainly shiok (satisfying)! 馃敟 The richness in its flavours got me going for more dips with the tortilla chips! 馃挄 . Certainly a great starter to the meal! 馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎

It is like a Mexican style prata. This dish is the El Mero Mero Fajita where the oyster blade beef is served in poblano shishito crema along with flour tortillas. The overall flavour is rich, and We particularly enjoy the creamy sauce which acts as a good dip for the tortilla.
[El Mero Mero] - The Carnitas Taco ($13) comes with caramelised pork neck and belly, paired with homemade pineapple sauce, pickled shallots, and purple cabbage on a soft corn tortilla. While the flavours are vibrant, I find the pork a bit too thinly sliced for me to fully enjoy it. . Find out more at https://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2019/08/el-mero-mero-chijmes-go-to-place-for.html . Baja Fish ($14). This is their take on the classic Baja Fish, elevated. This Patagonian toothfish fillet is deep fried in tempura batter, before being served with pico de gallo, pickled shallots, and chipotle mayo on flour tortilla. Everyone around the table loved this the most. 馃敻 Besides this, expect other dishes such as ceviche and small plates. The food here stays true to the Mexican heritage, as well as those that reflects the currently culinary trends. 馃敻 [Tasting] #elmeromerosg #bajafish #foodphotography #fujixh1 #fujifilmsg #burpple #foodporn #sgfoodies #sgfood #foodsg #instasg #foodstagram #instafood #instafood_sg #f52grams #hungrygowhere #cafesg #sgfoodblogger #sgrestaurant #sgig #tortilla #brunch #makan #burpplesg #spanishfood #stfoodtrending #sgdinner #peruviancuisine #preuvian

First To Come In, Last To Leave My husband and I visited La Petite on 20th Sep 19 around 19.20. We ordered our food (lobster bisque and 2 weekend sets) at 19.29pm using GrabPay. At 20.00, our food was still not here. Looking around, we realised tables that came after us were already having their food, and were almost finishing. In the half hour we waited, not a single server came to ask after us, or even to refill our water. My husband then approached the counter to check on the food. Turns out, they had lost our order. They apologized and assured us they would allow us to "jump queue". Yes, after waiting half hour for our food, we are now jumping the queue. Again, we waited another 15 minutes. 3 more tables had their food served. I decided to approach the counter to check on the order again. Yes, the order was lost, and it would take some time for the mains to be ready, but for the soup and the appetizers to be delayed again, it was simply unacceptable. To note, at this point, one of the tables who arrived after us had already finished their meal and left. Finally, when our food had arrived, we thought this was the end of it. But boy were we wrong. I was still waiting for my main (duck confit) when my husband had already finished his main (steak). Once again, my husband went to the counter, and we found out that the server had taken my duck confit and served it to another table, and actually marked it off our order. Again, they issued another apology to appease us. We could not even cancel the order as we had already paid for the meal. It was meant to be a relaxing evening, but it ended up as one that was filled with frustration and hunger. What a Friday evening. I stress that this was not an isolated incident as there was another couple who was in the exact same predicament. When we left, they were still having their mains. Tldr; Go if you enjoy terrible service and having to remind your server every 15 minutes about your food. And waiting of course, for food that would never arrive.
Duck Confit ($22) The duck meat is tender and good but I鈥檝e had better elsewhere at that price. The creamy potato gratin on the side was really good though...
Butter Croissant Soooo good by itself. By far one of the best croissants I鈥檝e had in Singapore! The crust layers are just right (not soggy or too chewy) and it was fresh from the oven (: je l鈥檃ime ~

A List For Brunch Straight up one of the best places for brunch - what an awesome way to kickstart the week with amazing food, great crew and swanky ambience
Awesome Sandwich Open sandwich with various proteins. I was not impressed by this dish because it鈥檚 baguette with spread and smoked cuts. Very mediocre even though they claim for this to be the best in the menu. The queue was also super long so we had to wait for tables. Ambiance is cute and vintage-y but quite squeezey because they tried to fit as many tables as possible. Didn鈥檛 try the coffee because apparently they were better at smoothies / shakes. Price ~$20 per pax
