The Roast Beef Benedict ($14) is the perfect synergy of pull-apart beef and eggy mess. Their poached eggs reminded me more of onsen eggs, but that means I can spend a good few minutes taking pictures without worrying about the yolk getting hard! Greatly priced but generously portioned (trust me when I say that I had more beef than bread), pairing this dish with a cup of Magic coffee ($5) will surely lift your spirits.
Opening at 9:30am on weekends, this is definitely a find in the tranquility of Changi Village. Come down early as I hear there will be queues during lunch!
This two-in-one half strawberry and half chocolate cake is the one you should go for at Chateraise. At first glance, the Half and Half Decoration Cake ($40) looks like a run-of-the-mill strawberry shortcake, but it only takes a bite to realize it is so much more. Unlike other shortcakes where the cream is denser, this cake is immensely light with a foamy, melt-in-your-mouth fresh cream, making it easy to shovel your way through one, or maybe even two slices on your own. if you're looking for a single serving cake that will bring a smile to a birthday girl's face, get the Cute Bear ($4.70) instead. It's a really, really cute dome-shaped chocolate cake that has layers of chocolate cream, crispy wafers and chocolate bits that will illicit that resounding — awww!
*No pre-order necessary for whole cakes

Getting a box of them with mixed feelings, I was told to tone down my expectations though certainly these deceptively plain looking buns (at $2.50 each) were pretty decent. Not mind-blowingly good, the exterior was surprisingly soft and each flavour was pleasantly distinct. However, the fresh cream fillings were a tad too milky for my liking. All delightfully packed with cream, my favourite would be chocolate for its universal appeal.

Charcoal and butter waffles with so many special flavors of ice cream to choose from! The texture of the waffles were comparatively crispy. Love the salted caramel sauce that surrounding the waffles. We tried the earl grey lavender ice cream (cant taste earl grey thou) and milk tea ice cream. Will go back for different flavour.
Waffles: about $6. Ice cream: about $4.50/scoop
One of the more affordable items on the menu is this potato rosti side dish. Crisp on the outside, moist potato inside, the flavouring for this could've been a little more evident. Not one of my favourites when compared to other menu items.
