Sanobar-Gila Gula 馃嵉馃 [HighTea] 猬囷笍 Authentic Lebanese Cuisine 猬囷笍 . Featuring the following: 鈻笍Kunafa ($12.90) 鈻笍Arayes ($19.90) 鈻笍Gorpis Ondeh ($10.90) . Sitauted along 48 Kandahar Street, 10mins walk from Bugis/Jalan Besar MRT, @sanobargilagula is offering their high tea from 2.30pm till 5.30pm daily (closed on Monday) with a garden theme atmosphere! . My favourite of all is their Gorpis Ondeh, the best seller that you should order with goreng pisang (banana fritters) with shredded cheese, coconut, pandan and gula melaka. Their Arayes was good too, it is a lebanese pita sandwich stuffed with minced lamb, fresh tomatos and spices. . To end off the meal, I will recommend Kunafa, it's a Middle East version of cheese Danish, topped with pastry and soaked in sweet syrup. Yummy! 馃構 . Thank you @nikolai_wee for the invite and @sanobargilagula for having us! 馃檰馃徎鈥嶁檪锔 . #sgfood #sanobargilagula #lebanese #dessert #halalsg #halal #halalfood #foodie #instafood #tslmakan #8dayseat #local #burpple #foodies #singapore #singaporeinsiders #burpplesg #eatsnapsg #ashleynoms #foodreviewsmr #hungrygowhere #vsco #vscofood #vscomcam #throwback

For Halal Mala With the opening of Peppercorn, you can now bring your muslim friends to try this well-loved dish by the Chinese. The setting is interesting, with the typical cafe feels juxtaposed against oriental vibes (there's a wall filled with Chinese dragon door knockers). I personally prefer my mala drier, so the soupier version here didn't quite appeal to me. It also isn't very fragrant. However, I do like the scallion oil noodles that were coated in a sweet-savoury sauce - a good balance to the spicy-numbing mala pot. The ingredients here are charged by weight, so pick wisely!

Mala Hotpot Soupy Variation Tried a variation of the popular mala hotpot at Peppercorn, 30 Kandahar St. The usual mala hotpot is a dry version, this one comes with a flavorful stock, topped with peppery hot spices. The pepper stays on your tongue, giving the "ma" feeling. As usual, you get to select from a wide variety of ingredients, from meats to fish, tofu, mushrooms, vegetables... The place is cosy and air conditioned.

Western Delight After hearing rumor that it was going to close for good during the Taman Jurong Market renovation, I thought I have missed to ever trying again. However, when I learned that it was going to be reopened on November, I'm glad that it is still there and decided to try it on my off day. I first ordered their Butternut Chicken Pizza ($6.90). Like what they say, it is the thinnest pizza crust ever. The sauce they use although I don't know what it is (probably their secret recipe), but it was delicious. The pizza crust is so thin that it is like eating a biscuit. I prefer my pizza crust to be those average thick one so it will be good if they offer thick pizza crust as an option. Do give their pizza a try and you will not regret it. Still wanting to try more of their dishes, I ordered the Chicken Spaghetti Alfredo Sauce ($6.90). The grilled chicken is tender and flavourful and the skin is crispy. It is so delicious. The Alfredo sauce is not bad but can be jialek. Maybe I will order either a different sauce or buy their wedges & coleslaw set next time. Overall, it is a unique and delicious meal in a hawker centre.

Mushroom Truffle Pizza and Sweet Potato Fries @ ButterNut, Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre. Discovered a hawker stall, ButterNut at Taman Jurong that serves an impressive handmade thin crust pizza topped with abundant of white button mushrooms and a faint hint of truffle aroma! The sweet potato fries were pretty mediocre though. #burpple #stfoodtrending #wheretoeatsg
