Still the best squirrel fish around. Even better than the shop that the emperor susposedly frequented for this dish in suzhou.

Slightly sweet, slightly tangy and topped with pine nuts

A salted egg lava bread is better than a Bao because all you need to do is microwave for 20 secs! Don’t even need to steam!

Just right opposite R&B tea is Yunique tea. Two bubble tea shops fighting against each other. This Taiwanese brand has a huge selection of tea options and non tea options and I couldn’t resist the red bean milk. Amount of red bean was generous!

Relatively new bubble tea shop in Toa Payoh Hersing centre. The Sakura tea is definitely pretty and refreshing with the added lemon.

For any dry noodles, all you need is wok heiness. A small place with just a few tables but the turnover rate is quite high. For $6 you get a good mixture of clam, pork and tau pok stir fried with thick white noodles. Not forgetting the wok heiness. 😋

A huge dollop of durian flesh on top of sago. Would be better if the dessert was colder. But durian was goood 😋

Good selection of strongly brewed teas. The Sakura tea has a mild floral smell with a green tea base. 😋

The noodles are buckwheat noodles and soup is not too salty. Making this feel like a healthy option. However the only difference would be the meat, one is a prawn dumpling and another is a sous vide chicken roll. Not great but edible.

Spicy, smooth, cold noodles. Just $3 for a bowl. This shop gets quite popular during dinner time.

High tea for 2. $79 for two person including 2 drinks each. Surprisingly I prefer the savouries more than the sweets. Especially likes the mushroom soup and open face with prawn and caviar. 😋 was expecting more from the sweets but it failed to wow.

I actually prefer this type of soufflé pancakes. It’s not overly fluffy which means less eggy taste but still melts in your mouth! 😋

Would have preferred fresh berries but I guess canned blueberries will do

We love the fusion dishes at #restaurantlabyrinth and the fact that most ingredients are locally sourced! The postcards are definitely a nice touch to remind you what you are having.(and they actually let you keep them after that!)

The “chicken” satay, only one is real chicken while the other two are other types of protein. Shall not spoil the surprise for you. Certainly very flavourful, if we weren’t told from the start that it’s not all chicken, we might have mistaken it for all chicken!

The silver perch otah is served in a broth with fish fat. 😯 The clarity of the fish fat shows how untainted the fish is. Not fed w hormones nor antibiotics. Just natural good omega 3. 😋

The ang moh chicken rice certainly had all the flavours of a good chicken rice but the rice was a bit of a cross between a risotto and glutinous rice that’s made using chef han’s grandmother’s secret recipe when she cooked for ang mohs. 😋
