When I said I was buying dinner, my dear colleague immediately said "Let's go have ramen @ippudosg because I love ramen plus it is more expensive". Here's what we ordered;

Karaka Tamago
Pork Bun
Karaage
Spicy Chicken Wings
Green Salad

The ramen was served with thin curly noodles, minced meat miso paste, tamago and spring onions. You can customize your spice level from mild to very hot! My personal favorite beside ramen is their signature melt-in-the-mouth Chashu sandwiched in a soft bun. We could not decide which chicken as sides so we ordered both Karaage and Spicy Chicken Wings. Both were equally tasty which we split our share evenly. LOL! I did get a πŸ™„ look when I ordered my Green Salad.

Total damage to my wallet was S$56.50.

Recently visited @walkingonsunshine.cafe and had a wonderful time with @yeeling2807. It felt like stepping into a secret garden with trellises and dried flowers around the cafe. A pretty cafe to catch up with friends inside @orchardcentral.

Featuring what we ordered from their signature menu;

Striploin Steak
Beef Short Ribs (Slow Cooked)
Signature Souffle Pancake
Avocado Shake
Coconut Smoothie Coffee

Overall, we enjoyed our food and ambience. The medium-rare steak was nicely done. The beef short ribs was so tender and juicy that it literally slided off the bone as I cut through. Of course, we make sure that we have space left for dessert! The souffle pancake was soft and the toppings (fruits and granola) on it provided the aesthetic look. It was yummy that I had most of the share, guilty S charged!

Thank you Jazmin @walkingonsunshine.sg @walkingonsunshine.cafe for the invite!

How do you beat Monday blue?

Featuring kuMA fuWA | $12.80 @baristartcoffee_sg served with mixed berry sauce, raspberry sauce, cookies, cream cheese mousse, cake crumb, strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, whipping cream, blueberry, chocolate and ❀ shape Japanese strawberry.

It was so cute but even if I do not have the πŸ’• to eat it, it was melting slowly that demands to be eaten. The ears made of white chocolate buttons just fell off as it melted. Overall, it was rich and creamy. What? No, I did not share!

Limited only for 01 - 31 March and available at both outlets.

Recently, I found a good one @baristartcoffee_sg by chance!

Check this out - Hokkaido Zangi ($14.80) is a Hokkaido style deep fried chicken served with salad and three different sauces on side. The chicken was really done well to my liking with the level of juiciness inside and thin crispy skin on the outside. I like dipping the chicken with the black sauce that reminds me of vinaigrette.

Alternatively, their savoury French Toast menu seems to be a popular order in the cafe. Our friend has ordered French Toast with Proscuitto and Tomato Balsamic Sauce ($15.80).

When it was launched again few days ago, of course kiasu part in me wanted to grab it ASAP. First attempt, SOLD OUT in the evening 😩 Second attempt, YAY as I went during the day.

So how much do I like my #KFCChickenSkin? It is flavourful aka salty and fattening. Anyway, I like it. It is the same as me having my chicken original recipe and indulge only on the crispy skin bit! With KFC Chicken Skin at $3.50 per box, it becomes my box of snacks! The smaller pieces may be on the dry side but this is afterall a fast food and most importantly I enjoyed my crunch.

Time to do some cardio to burn the fat!

Purple Sweet Potato Waffle Cone ($2.20) is back! I kept seeing people with a purple softserve in their hand inside the shopping mall. It was only a matter of time I go grab one! Yeah, it did not take long at all.

Enjoy the smooth purple sweet potato note in the softserve plus a crunchy waffle cone. The price has gone up by 20 cents compare to last year but fairly good portion for just over $2. Most importantly, it was a great yam-my fix for a warm day.

Anyhow, curiosity got the best of me so I tried JLD Dragon 吉龙糖 on separate occasions! Whilst we have tried many BMT brands, we do drink in moderation. And my habit is often 0% sugar unless not advisable. For @jlddragonsg, I was advised to take 25% sugar level. So what have I tried so far?

Alishan Green Tea Milk Foam ($5.90) I don't think I have had Alishan tea before and it has that floral note on the tea level which reminded me of jasmine tea. As for the milk foam, it has that salty note of very light version of cheese form. Surprisingly, I quite enjoy tfe drink on a hot day.

Green Tea with Yakult ($5.90) The green tea was distinctive with a sweet and sour blend from the Yakult. It was refreshing and shockingly I was able to finish the whole cup myself. My gut is gurgling with joy!

Brown Sugar Milk with Tapioca Boba | $5.30 (cold) their brown sugar does taste different which I read that it was made with kokuto (Okinawa brown sugar). If I were to compare to gula melaka, it certainly much more on the mild level. The milk is more watery than being milky which tasted like semi-skimmed milk. Maybe the cold drink version has that diluted effect from the ice. The boba was fat and chewy. This is my least memorable drink by far.

Iminho Roasted House has taken the space of where used to be Encik Tan. Trying out their Bibimbap with Pork ($6.80) served with kimchi and seaweed soup as sides. Also available with chicken or beef. The rice was more wet than I thought it should have been but otherwise it was ok for a quick hot lunch @thestarvista.
