The Chicken Breast was dry and slightly on the tough as all chicken breast meats usually are. The chilli sauce made up for the dryness and toughness. The spinach was surprisingly refreshing with the tomatoes. A little overpowering in the taste with the onions thrown in. Spinach is a good source of potassium, calcium and magnesium. It is something I am consciously trying to add to my meals. Conclusion: not practical to eat this on a regular basis as it can be heavy on the pockets.
Brunch with a difference: pictured here are crab cakes with mango salsa and a romaine salad. Filling and delicious! Their cakes and coffee are yum!
Create your own salad at $11.50, with any five fresh toppings, from cheese to eggs to chicken. I will avoid the buffalo chicken though, it tasted a bit like those sour and spicy things you put in your porridge. This place is very generous with the sauce, which can be a pro or con, depending on how health conscious you are.
Soft and moist, the mini corn bread makes a good start to the much awaited lunch at Luke's. The paprika dusted salted buttered add a luxurious feel to that down-to-earth teaser.
Smooth & creamy & buttery, the potato purée is worth your calories count. The finely chopped chives then gently spice up the mixture, gel up all the yummy notes without cloying. $18 for a regular or top up an additional $8 if u swop those French fries served in the mains for purée.
I got it right the way I could ace my exam. I haven't seen this on the menu at the flagship outlet - Gemmill Lane - I'm sure u know which is its signature dessert (ok, warm chocolate chip cookies & stout shakes) while the Banana & Coconut Tart is the house signature @The Heeren. The combo makes no mistakes. The wedge is fully filled with desiccated coconut aligned with slices of banana, served warm. The tart is not exceedingly sweet, but enough to plant a smile with that nectarous avocado ice cream, icy with a creamy touch. I adore the coconut crumbles scattered around the tarts, they heightened the mouthfeel with that extra crunch! $16, well-spent. Go try it!
This was simply one of the most delicious among all dishes that was served during food tasting event. The meat was just right, it taste like a stewed duck confit but the mash was alittle too dry. With alittle of ground pepper and bacon beats to with it will be much better. And carrot was kinda uncooked 😔
Makes me feel healthy just by looking at it!
And remember the soft drinks are free-flow!
King of frozen yoghurt! Was alone so couldn't get the Sanum as it's too large a serving. Worth every cent 😋
Well done French brioche toast; crispy exterior with fluffy interior filled with custard cream! Comes with matcha cream sauce & Thai milk tea gelato 👍😍
Lately every cafe had been serving waffles that I hesitated ordering this, but this is honestly quite the waffle that I had been looking for for a long while. Crispy consistency on the outside, moist in the interior and the wafting scent and taste of Buttermilk so evident. Even the fresh fruits are more sweet than sour. So much oomph that I am convinced that I found the waffle I had long wanted to have.
