Durian Fried Rice (SGD$8.90). We had some concern over the taste before trying, like, wouldn't it be weird? However, the first bite immediate set us at ease and we enjoyed this dish immensely.

Short Ribs Bowl (SGD $14.50) from An An Vietnamese was composed pleasantly of pearl rice, moistened and very succulent beef ribs, as well as vegetables to give that refreshing crunchy balance.

New Year's Feast! One of AquaMarine's New Year's specials is the Chilled Capellini with Abalone and Caviar. It was so compellingly good, I had 2 servings ❤

Uni Truffle Pasta (SGD$35.00), made with Himalayan truffle for that earthly aroma, homemade squid ink spaghetti which was springy in texture but so dry that noodles clamped together; some tomato cream, serrano ham and uni tossed in for flavour.

Christmas Burger (SGD$26.00), a tall statue of a golden burger composed with toasted buns, crumbly turkey breast patty, gruyere cheese, bacon, and cranberry mayo. I quite enjoyed this straightforward, item, especially when they had really good salt and vinegar fries served on the side as accompaniment.

We began with a 12th year Glenfiddich, with lovely green pear notes. We were asked to sniff the drink before sipping- strong ethanol and alcoholic notes masked the fruity notes of the Whiskey.
.
As such, we were asked to place our palm tightly over the mouth of the Whiskey glass and turn it around. Then rub our palms gently before flipping them dry - and to cup the palms over the nose now. Ahhhh yes, the fruity notes of peach and green pear were much more evident now.

.
Signature Pork Ribs (tender, falling off the racks easily; sweet honeyed flavour) and Gourmet Roasted Beef (roasted to a lovely smokey note, pretty succulent but could be more moistened).
