Curry Ayam Paha <chicken thigh> Briyani with bayam <spinach, my all time fav>, telur and of course that crispy Kipas looking koropok called papedum 😹😹😹. A little spicy though. But my kinda Briyani especially when it's nicely cook with all the herbs and spices. Thumbs up... power lah!

Mee Kuah If you're looking for a "healthier" version of mee kuah, this might be the one for you. They are too generous with their vegetables portion I'd say. The soup has a thick consistency, which may not appeal to some but it was okay for me. Chicken Dum Briyani | $9.50 Pretty average dum briyani but good enough to satisfy any briyani cravings you might have. Basmati rice was fragrant, and while portion was huge, the chicken was a tad bit dry. Really enjoyed the raita which was very light and refreshing. Rate:🌟🌟

Nothing sadder than lukewarm soggy prata, except tasteless dalcha. And I had both. What’s worse - it is your one rare prata meal. Al-Azhar, what happened?? You used to be my go to! Service is bad, it’s overpriced for room temperature prata, and you don’t even care when I asked for no straw! I’m just going to pretend this meal didn’t happen. Bah humbug 🤬😤☹️

👉Beef Wellington👈 Aesthetic-wise, it was nothing like what I’ve expected but fortunately, the crusty puff pastry was well-executed. Sadly, I was disappointed by the tough beef tenderloin encased in it. There is still room for improvement 😄

Apple Pistachio Tart For dessert, we tried their Apple Pistachio Tart served with a scoop of Cookies and Cream Ice Cream ($9). It would have been better if we were given flavours to choose for the ice cream because somehow, cookies and cream did not complement the tart well. The tart too felt very dense. Overall, our experience was average (decent, at best) and the food at Commons is really just.... common. Not great, but not bad either. I’m so glad the price is affordable and their service professional 😊

Ice Cream Toasts Overrated toasts which were kinda too buttery and oily in the interior. The accompanying marshmallow and cream were kinda gross - tasted too artificial. Ice cream were ...normal?

Charcoal Lava Toast with Mentaiko fillings The black charcoal toast was slightly denser and drier than the original toast. Honestly, I’d suggest you to opt for the Original toast instead. The mentaiko was lightly torched on the surface of the toast, coupled with mentaiko mayonnaise in the lava fillings, which surprisingly wasn’t jelak at all. But one thing for sure, it was addictive enough for me to wipe the brioche across the lava to soak up all that goodness. Price: $15.90+

Thai Green Tea Lava Toast Green tea lovers, you wouldn't want to miss this! This is definitely not your regular typical toast bread, they use charcoal toast which I was pretty skeptical about in the first place. I couldn't gather the thought of two strong individuals flavours - matcha green tea and charcoal - being infused into one, but this dish surprisingly managed to pull it off. When the green tea lava oozed out of the toast like a volcano eruption, my heart melts! The combination of the two flavours gave off a unique bitter aftertaste to my tastebuds. The sauce came out a bit watery in my opinion. Would prefer it to be thicker and with a stronger match green tea flavour. Definitely instagram and ig stories worthy one! DAMN SHIOK! Can be shared among 2-4 pax. But if you're a green tea lover like me, I recommend you eat and nua by yourself. Price: S$14.90.

Salmon Pesto Pasta Loved how the sauce clinged on tightly to the pasta like how jack hung on to rose in the frigid ice cold waters of the Antarctic when the titanic sank. Overall a pleasant dish and you can never go wrong with salmon. 3.5/5

Cajun Grilled Chicken Burger ($15.90 set lunch) This halal cafe was located in a really secluded spot in Our Tampines Hub, and sadly there weren’t many patrons when we were there. They have 2 options for their set lunches, one with a side, and the other with a side, drink and dessert. Got the one with one side only (got the tortilla chips), and was stuffed by the time the main arrived. Basically the cafe fare was good, and if you’re ravenous this is the perfect place for you, because the others who took the larger set lunch was struggling to finish dessert loool.

Nutella Cheesecake Tart I Am cafe is known for their Red Velvet/Rainbow Cake but the next time you’re here, try their Nutella Cheesecake Tart ($8.90+)! Anything with nutella is good and it truly was an amazing first bite! Do share with a few friends as it can get pretty overwhelming after awhile (as all cheesecakes tend to be).

Just Salmon Such a pretty dish! I had to take pictures of it from every angle! Salmon with giant Israeli couscous. The salmon was well paired with the brown butter miso sauce! Healthy and light. Order a Muddy espresso with cold milk to complete the meal.

Squid Ink Fried Rice Slightly spicy with two soft shell crabs and crispy fried fish cubes. I enjoyed it. The soft shell crabs were fresh. I didn't expect the crabs as the menu stated, battered squid. I didn't expect the rice to be spicy but it gave the dish an extra kick! Best part was, my teeth didn't turn black from the squid ink 😬

It doesn't turn soggy unlike the more common types we see. Really just a plate of sinful goodness. Excellent for sharing. This may not seem spectacular compared to other snazzy new places that have sprung up recently, but their many options and hearty local dishes really makes this a favourite hang out be it for dinner or supper. Kampung Fried Rice Pattaya A really simple dish, but so so good! The rich was super tasty and flavourful, with loads of fresh seafood. And of course, it never hurts to have it wrapped in a yummy omelette. But the best part was that the dish was garnished with fried ikan bilis. This gave it a crunchy texture that made each bite even more satisfying. It also added an extra saltiness, but not too overpowering like in the case of salted fish. This is a good dish to order when you're here!

Unique Dish Because Chill vibes, dishes come in big portions. This is the seafood platter but what’s unique is that I think they laid a bed of taro mash at the bottom? Anyway it goes really well with the seafood and in fact I dipped it with other dishes like fries, chicken cutlet etc

Beef Ribs Ribs is my Favourite so I have high expectation whenever I order them. This iteration from badoque didn't disappoint me. There ribs even though a teeny bit overcook it still taste great . Serving is quite generous.The bread surprisingly tasty when dip with the side of mashed creamy blended potatoes. Sgd $24 ( I think, 🤣 can't remember the exact price) Hot water is charged $1.00 served with slice of lemon.

Chili Chombis A must-have appetiser from Badoque is this Chili Chombis. What's hidden beneath these breaded nuggets is jalapeños with cream cheese and spices, giving you that kick before you get your main course. Pop it in your mouth before it turns cold, and unless you love jalapeños to the max, I will not advise you to finish the whole thing on your own. Thank goodness I have got my water ready for this.
