Chanced upon the store by accident and decided to finally try a drink to see what the hype was about.

Got the dark latte which was basically mocha, and added $1 for soy milk. ($9.60+$1)

Nice mocha but not worth $10.60 lol

2 flavours per medium size cup and omg it was so worth it!
Left: yuzu and summer berries
Right: Granny's favourite and chocolate (dairy free!)

Summer berries is for zest lovers but not too sour! Yuzu was refreshing and a lovely palette cleanser in between bites.

Chocolate was dairy free! Yay for those who are lactose intolerant. I asked the staff what flavour would best suit chocolate (and make it less gelat) and I got Granny's favourite in the end! Totally forgot what was in the flavour but it was apparently one of their best-selling ones and it was really good!

Super worth at $5 for 4 flavours and will definitely come back!

From left to right: s'mores pie, morello sour cherry pie, banana almond and cognac pie, coconut lime and vodka pie

Third time here and this time I got there at around 12pm (they open at 11am) and there were only about 7 different pie flavours.
I got the 2 for 2, so total 4 slices of pies.

Morello sour cherry and coconut lime vodka pies are for those who love zesty and sour notes in their pies. Even though I don't often eat sour things, I do like the coconut lime vodka! It was also the first time I've seen this flavour. It came with a dollop of whipped cream on the pie too.

Banana almond and cognac is my absolute favourite pie! Love love the crunch in the middle of the pies and the pie crust.

Smores is always good! But the pie crust isn't the same as the banana cognac.

Short walk from Lavender MRT (roughly 2 mins)
Rosti could have been crispier but pleasant nonetheless! Mushrooms were very springy and bacon was hard and crispy but both came in quite a small portion :(
Chorizo was nicely seasoned and the eggs were very soft and buttery (take note if you don't like a lot of butter with your eggs!)

Had this with the Black Dripper bottled cold brew ($6) and didn't like it a lot although this is probably just individual preference!

Take note that the Burpple 30% cannot be combined with their Shopback vouchers, although their 3% shopback cashback still applies :)

Place is quite near Lavender MRT (2 mins walk?); it's outside of the Kitchener Complex building. The Cajun chicken thigh was generously marinated and evenly cooked. I would have liked the rosti to be crispier on the outside (and it's not as nice as Brotzeit's or Marche's) but overall pleasant!
Had this with the hot mocha and I didn't like it a lot because there was very little mocha taste and it kind of tasted like bitter milk.

Please note that you can't combine Burpple 30% off with their Shopback voucher! The cashier told me I could, only to say no as I was buying the voucher. However 3% shopback cashback still applies :)

Service: 6/10 as the staff seem quite disinterested in serving customers well

This dish took quite long to arrive but it was worth it! The sausage was mmm so nice and REALLY juicy! Potatoes were nicely seasoned and the pickled cabbage(?) was plentiful. Would definitely come back again!

Love Brotzeit's rosti! Pairs well with their smoked salmon, egg and spinach. You can request for sour cream if you wish. It was a very filling dish but I managed to finish it out of sheer willpower because it was that nice. Note that the rosti would probably fill you up good! A side note: I ordered their mojito ($15) and the first one presented to me had almost zero alcohol taste in it. I asked them if they accidentally gave me the virgin mojito instead but they just switched it. The second mojito still tasted pretty non-alcoholic but it was slightly better than the first one I received.

Ordered this with Burpple Beyond to try it out! Came with mushroom sauce, a lemon wedge and mashed potatoes. The fish was quite thin (180g) and quite bland. The mushroom sauce was pretty diluted and didn't add any taste to the fish. I wouldn't recommend eating this, perhaps try the fish and chips or salmon instead?

Ordered this to try because why not! Really nice sauce (a bit spicy!) but it got jelat after a while. Came with some mushrooms and one soft shell crab, and since I'm not a fan of soft shell crab, there wasn't much meat to this dish. I ended up basically eating chilli crab sauce and noodles. Soft shell crab and mushrooms were not anything fantastic. Maybe just stick with their mantous + chilli crab sauce if you want to try the sauce!

Super super nice and cheerful lady who greeted us!! Got the butter chicken ($16) and murgh masloom (tandoori chicken) ($20) and they were so... Good...the butter chicken was a bit hard but the sauce was creamy! The tandoori chicken was nice and tender. Portions were a bit large, two of us couldn't finish everything! We also got garlic naan and butter naan (i especially loved the butter naan). Also got masala tea! Which they served with a saucer of sugar so you can add however much you want to it. The mango lassi was a bit creamy/milky and had a sour tang to it but was overall nice! Btw the curry smell and taste will not leave your fingers afterwards heh

Super super tasty mentaiko gyoza! We got it to share and the mentaiko sauce was 😍
However, one of the servers was very rude. We had arrived within our grace period of our reservation and were waiting outside the restaurant for someone to bring us in. A lady (tall, slim, short rebonded hair) came a few minutes later, and berated us for being late. Even though we tried to tell her we were standing outside the whole time, she insisted that no, she "was there all along and didn't see us", and that "next time I really will release your table". Almost walked out if not for the long journey and food. 😩 There were empty tables anyways, so if she had released our table, it wouldn't even be that big of a problem. After seating us, she continued to occasionally glare at us from a distance. Fortunately, the other servers were very very nice and almost made up for her rude behavior. Like...why is there a need to scold a customer for being "late" in the first place??

Anyways had the upsized bara chirashi don and garlic roasted yakiniku! Both were tasty but that lady's service left a bitter taste in my mouth. 😫

Have always been a big fan of Omote or Sushiro (as it was previously known as). Frequented the small shop of Sushiro before they expanded to a slightly bigger restaurant and finally to Omote. Their prices have always been wallet friendly (especially for a student like me) and they do not compromise on quality. Visited Omote 2.0 and it came with a new extensive menu (which was slightly overwhelming) which offered a multitude of options. Still, I stuck with my old time favourite bara chirashi don but I upsized it. Didn't disappoint as I was presented with a huge portion of salmon (my favourite!). Boyfriend got the kyoto glazed duck don and the sliced duck was so good and succulent. Had the soda called Island Sunset and boyfriend had the whiskey sour :) which were both good! Definitely would come back to try out other dishes in their big menu!
