There is definitely a spell in this café cum brunch diner, that never fails to rack up long queues- even as it enters its third year. Antipodean reigns at the top with their impeccable service and complimentary wifi, drawing a full house of foodies clamoring for room daily. Quintessential orders of the Big Breakfast (with mushrooms), or the All-Day Breakfast (with red beans) is recommended. Proceed from there through the long menu written on the walls of the café. There is also Kopi Luwak, just in case.

Breakfast for dinner! Had the sausage changed to baked beans as I was just tired of sausages. Everything was good on this plate! Generous portions at decent prices. Cakes looked really good too, but we were stuffed. Will probably be back here again soon!

Thick fluffy pancakes with a side of fruit salad and sweet thick butterscotch sauce.

Antipodean most popular dish is their Big Breakfast. The quality and taste justifies the long queue during the weekends. Juicy and succulent pork sausage served with fluffy scrambled eggs, a mountain of sautéed mushrooms and artisanal toast with a spread of butter on it. You will also get a side of fresh greens which adds a nice contrast to the creamy homemade hashbrown. Pamper your palate amidst an atmosphere that spells cosy and comfort. Thank you to whoever who said eat breakfast like a King. RM25

What I loved most about this dish is their marinade. The balsamic vinegar did not only contribute in taste but also the affects the texture of the chicken. The chicken came out extremely tender and juicy served on a bed of crunchy fresh green beans and grilled tomatoes. RM22

😱 Looks like its eyes are too tiny and needs binoculars to examine that baked beans and bacon on toast. #cute

Research says breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I didn't have my breakfast today so I guess ordering from the breakfast menu would compensate for it? This 'all day breakfast' comes with creamy scramble eggs, sausage, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and a slice of toast. It tasted really healthy and unlike most American breakfast, it does not layer your lips with oiliness. RM25

Pioneers of the big breakfast culture in KL, Antipodean prides upon their healthy, hearty plates to please. Everything on the menu is cooked sans salt, making way for the natural flavours of fresh ingredients to come through. Coupled with its intimate space along Jalan Telawi 2, this is the perfect place to bring the parents. You will have to read their offerings off a blackboard menu on the wall, but we'll say skip the hassle and just order the Big Breakfast (RM25). The classic platter fills you up nicely with toast, mushrooms (lots of them), fluffy scrambled eggs, a homemade hashbrown and your choice of bacon or sausage — the lean back bacon reigns supreme. If you love eggs and salmon, go for an even simpler Scrambled Egg Salmon On Toast (RM22) to satisfy. Portions run big, so it'd be wise to share two dishes among mum, dad and you.
Avg price per person: RM30

If you are a big fan of scrambled egg - go for this! 3 choices of sausages: Beef, Chicken, Pork. We opted beef sausage. Salty on its own, do eat with the overloaded egg.

Price :: RM24++

New Zealand's breakfast set with unique pork sausage, great portion and satisfied

Visited this new cafe trending and highly raved in Bangsar. Quite a letdown but I observe taking standards into context along with a broad stroke, the KL cafe scene is still relatively at its infancy stage. Take for eg this joint helmed by the trio of aussie owners, comes with the right fit with the right location and the right expat crowd, the authenticity is (supposed to be) on point, however, the execution in its menu is amateur- the eggs B is so meh. The coffee is not up to standard- I was expecting slightly better roast and that itself have been moderated, if you frequent coffee places you may understand what I mean. I have yet to visit a cafe here which aligns with my expectations. I suppose just as a society evolves and takes time to acquire the sophistication in its druthers, so would its scene that is generally reflective. Right now, it's still an obscure aggregation wrapped in a pretty gift wrap.

If you like a quiet cafe for a cup of coffee and good food, then this is not the place for you.. The service is good, waiters are friendly.. Pumpkin & sweet corn fritter - Good texture but bland.. And I don't taste any pumpkin..

It was indeed delicious! I like how it was served with fruits. The butterscotch sauce was alright. It's good that they allow you to add the sauce to your preferences otherwise it will be too sweet.
Great banana flavour on the pancakes. Crispy edges. But it's incredibly filling. You could finish it by yourself if you're famished. Otherwise share it with someone 😉 Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 16)

Sorry for the late wish. I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and collecting a lot of red packets!
My family wanted to have breakfast on the first day of Chinese New Year but everywhere was closed! Thank God Antipodean was open.
I had my favourite muesli bowl. There was muesli, apples, strawberries, pineapples, apples, yogurt, then served with a shot of milk.
If you're looking for something healthy and something besides the big breakfast at Antipodean, choose this for freshness and fullness! :) Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 16 - the portion of the muesli bowl didn't shrink. They're so generous with the fruits and yogurt!)

Good food usually the price is not cheap, the big breakfast is awesome with a price of RM20 and the coffee is fantastic. The place is always packed with people, preferable to come maximum of 2 ppl, anything more than that be prepare to wait longer period of time. The ambience you can't expect a relaxing place, it's crowded and the staff is rushing here n there. Food is serve very fast after you ordered, no reservation in this place and you need everyone to be there to get a place.
