Bao Tian Xia (People's Park Complex)

One of my favourite foods but so hard to Find a decent one in singapore. Filling was pretty good, juicy and has umami, but skin was hardly crispy.

Roujiamou (肉夹馍) is my breakfast of choice when we were touring China.

Roujiamou has been called the Chinese hamburger / sandwich but it may well have predated the western hamburger / sandwich. It is essentially meat stuffed in a wheat flour based flatbread.

Bao Tian Xia stuffs their roujiamou with braised streaky pork (卤肉) topped with coriander, cucumber, chilli oil and more of that amazing braising sauce. This combination of sweet, savoury and spicy is what makes this dish amazing. What's more amazing is that it costs only $3.50!

Do you know why the Bao cry ? Because it got filling!

Baotianxia is a must try for their buns and dumpling! Very nice snacks and family size dishes! Is a must try whenever your near Chinatown mrt, their directly outside the station! Worth to go there and grabbed a snack!
