Very appropriate tea time desserts - figs cake and vanilla cheese roll. Not too sweet. Less sinful cause they’re sugar free.

The gelato @camaca is sugarless so it's not so sinful to indulge. Hazelnut flavour was refreshing and nice. Overall quite pricey but worthwhile with 1 for 1.

Paid $5.89 per capsule of sugar-free gelato and $4.82 for the vanilla cheese swiss roll.

No service charge so be prepared to wait at the counter while the staff prepares your gelato and takes the swiss roll out of the freezer to put on a plate, before you are made to carry everything up (if you choose to go to the 2nd level, which is more spacious than the 1st level) yourself without a tray.

No Burpple 1-for-1 here but got a 15% Shopback boost for a first visit here.

Both gelatos (Swiss Chocolate and Tiramisu) were on first taste just cold and tasteless, but a slight hint of flavour hits you as an aftertaste. The swiss roll was unimpressive, very dense and the cake didn’t pair well with the cream cheese.

Had high hopes for this dessert place but left very disappointed.

On the occasional visits to the West, I am excited to try what Burpplebeyond has to offer #2.
Having heard about the “sugar free” desserts here, my health conscious curiosity was piqued. As I tasted the small blocks of tea cakes with the provided miniature forks, I was surprised that they were familiarly sweet enough. While maltose sweetener is used, I found that the cakes were comparable to regular tea cakes. They were dense and weighted disproportionately to its size; well suited for an classy afternoon tea.

sadly the 1 for 1 does not apply to brownie nor choc swiss roll. was told by the staff that the vanilla swiss roll was the most popular cake but thought it was ok only. regardless the orange pound cake does not disappoint, sweet but balances nicely with a cup of tea. will be back to try the gelatos: :)

Camaca is a hidden gem at King Albert Park specialising in sugar-free desserts. Gelatos here are encapsulated in giant macaronesque shells and required a special machine to process for serving. The Royal Earl Grey gelato was light yet creamy with a lingering floral aftertaste, and the Hot Mocha smooth with a bitter undertone. Flavors were well-balanced and a healthy alternative to decadent food.
