The duck that was served was supposedly and Irish duck. I guess it’s meant to be like London fat duck.
The duck tasted great, fatty in the right places and lean where it needs to be. Ladies avoiding fatty foods should avoid this duck but do take note you are missing out. The duck paired with its dipping sauce gives it an amazing flavour that is not easily found elsewhere.

Dim sum at canton paradise is not cheap. This $6 plus siew mai is actuallly $9 for 4 pieces. As expensive as hotel Chinese restaurants! But tastes good though. Has a meaty texture and super juicy when bitten into. Now that there is an ongoing 30% promo, have to make the most of it.

Located at Bedok Mall, #B2-10. Crisp Fried Eggplant🍆 with Pork Floss $8.80. This is a very unusual and unique dish! I first had it many many years back at a Coffeeshop and was so hooked to it! After it closes down, I’m unable to get this dish.. so I’m super excited when I sees this served at Canton Paradise! This is so freaking AWESOME! Eggplant is deep fried to crisp, crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and it’s not too oily and greasy too! Pork floss was then scattered over these eggplant which adds great flavours to it! Overall a very light dish which you can just pick and eat by itself! But I like this Didi more. The sweetness of the caramelised char siew is perfect and not overly sweet. The meat is juicy and succulent. And the crust is crumbly, crispy and lightly sweetened to my satisfaction. This is how all char siew paus should aspire to be. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This is one of the better carrot cakes out there - greasy but not too salty and not drenched in sauce.
I find this restaurant's dim sum overall better than Tim Ho Wan.
They have a reasonable spread of variety and the prices are reasonable. In addition, most of their dishes are pretty tasty. The overall ambience is more comfortable as compared to Tim Ho Wan which is very rush and the chairs are fairly small and uncomfortable.
However, I wouldn't recommend their desserts except the egg tarts as the rest all taste mediocre.
