This bar has plenty of gin to choose from! That's what I'll do next time. The cocktails were fine... a little lackluster. The Operation Siam is the one to buy. Perfectly refreshing, citrusy, with just enough sweetness. The Bloody Monkey was very disappointing. We found them pricey, considering you can get better cocktails for the same price elsewhere, but with Burpple Beyond, it felt a little more worth it. Most people in the bar were drinking gin and tonics. Lovely location!

The cocktails were created specially for the Singapore Cocktail Festival 2019, which takes place 10 - 18 May 2019. Cin Cin will be doing a pop-up at the Festival Village, the boozy funfair picnic-style event at Empress Lawn happening 10 to 12 May from 4pm to 11pm. ⠀

Apart from bar pop-ups (you get boozy creations from the likes of Maison du Whisky, Martini Bar, Neon Pigeon, Tess Bar & Kitchen and Bob's Bar at only $12 nett!), the event features bartender appearances from The World’s 50 Best Bars and Asia’s 50 Best Bars lists, various masterclasses, a “Barstylez International Bartender Championship”, brand experiences as well as an Artisanal Spirits Tasting Room and Food Street (COMO Cuisine, Ding Dong and Neon Pigeon feature). ⠀

I've got my hands on 1 pair of Day Passes (worth $110 in total) to the Festival Village to give away to one lucky reader. All you've got to do to take part in the giveaway is: ⠀

1. Follow both @larvitar and @SGCocktailFest on Instagram.
2. Like this post (or my other Singapore Cocktail Fest post from last week) and tag one friend whom you'd like to bring to the event.
3. (Optional, but for double chances) Name one bar which you want to visit during Singapore Cocktail Festival week. ⠀

Entries close 5 May 2019 (23:59). ⠀

So thankful that @cincinsg is now live on Chug! It's near my office, and there are 12 different cocktails available for complimentary redemption. As a premium member, I could actually walk down every night for a free drink.

In the extensive and rather overwhelming cocktail menu - there are "make-your-own" options for your Gin & Tonic and Martini which involve multiple elements and would likely trigger many a head scratch for fear of unknowingly creating a vile concoction - the humble Earlgroni stands out as one of the lowest priced and most reliable cocktails.

Like this Koskue gin by Kyrö, aged by mistake when it should have been the whiskey cask instead. But the result is a medley of spicy, floral, orangey, and toasty flavours—cross between a gin and a whiskey. Perfect for an Old Fashioned or Negroni (pic shows before vermouth and bitters were added), or straight up if you're so inclined. #CinCinSG #burpple
