The Dáo Mum is light, smooth, and super refreshing. Silky beancurd, fluffy shaved ice, a touch of floral chrysanthemum, and chewy osmanthus jelly. Perfect for cooling down without feeling heavy. The Pud-dáo Pudding is firmer and a little more custardy, but still light and clean.

Big fan of black sesame and I have a soft spot for tau fu fah sometimes.. a combo like this is like a match made in heaven, not too sweet for the tau foo fah, not too bitter for the black sesame
Dáo has finally arrived in Damansara Jaya - negating the need to travel to Subang for some good taufufa.
We were lucky to arrive on a quiet Sunday evening at 8.30pm (must be the sweet time to get seats - sweet time, geddit?) before the after-dinner crowd arrived at 9pm. In any case, service was quick as all they needed to do was assemble the pieces.
Dáo is old-school goodness in a contemporary setting. The beancurd is super silky smooth and served warm in your choice of saccharin - ginger, brown or white. We picked brown syrup (because the missus doesn't like ginger 🤷♂️).
We loved it! For RM3.90, this is one of the best taufufa we had in recent memory. We dare say - it is almost as good as the ones in Ipoh - which is not a surprise as it is opened by siblings whose father used to run a stall in the limestone town.
We also enjoyed the dáo panda (RM6.90) - beancurd served with black sesame paste. We like how non-cloying the paste is and it pairs so well with the beancurd.
