Swing by this retro cafe in Sunway Mentari for homely meals that'll keep your belly satisfied all day long. For breakfast, tuck into the simple Butter Kaya Toast set (RM9) that comes with a cup of coffee or tea. Also worth trying is the Purple Potato Sandwich (RM11.50) that sees mashed sweet potato, egg and chicken ham between toasted bread – an unexpectedly delicious combination! The speciality Orange Chicken Rice Bowl (RM15) is another filling tummy-pleaser.

Loved the amount of flavour that was infused in this cheesecake. It was light and perfect!

Matching was good; but to ensure the quality of purple sweet potato itself, just not easy.

This cafe is a reminiscent of the bygone era. Friendly operators and good coffee!

December Eighteen exudes old-world charm with its vintage furniture and Chinese oldies 🎶🎷playing in the background.

It's like stepping into a Wong Kar Wai movie - carrom boards re-purposed into dining tables, art deco pieces, and a jukebox that still works.

It's tea time, so we settled for genmaicha tea 🍵 and hazelnut praline 🌰. We loved the praline - a perfect blend of smooth chocolate ganache and nutty texture.

Set foot in this stationery shop-cum-cafe and be transported back to the 90s, complete with old antique furniture – you'll want to whip out your phones for this! For comfort food at its best, Burppler Hemlatha Nagappan highly recommends the Orange Chicken Rice Bowl (RM13) that boasts simple yet hearty flavours. Expect moist chicken cubes coated in a tangy orange marinade that pairs excellently with the assorted vegetables and warm rice. Seal the meal with a smooth Cappuccino (RM10).
